Very true! I have both the n900 and the n9 and Yappari on n900 beats all the whatsapp clients on Harmattan. Thanks to Scorpius for his continued support. If not for the excellent UI, Twitter and camera of the n9 I'll be using the n900 as my primary phone!

i just install cssu stable but when i try to update it tells me to connect with nokia pc suite and when i did that i found conflict package : hildon-thumbnail what to do for update step?.

Err you dont need to connect pc suite for cssu update just cancel it and proceed. Btw how are you updating ? Also go to settings and check about phone you need to be on pr1.3 to update to cssu. Or you may have a part broken system i suggest a clean reflash if you can to start fresh :)

i did like you say and go to http://wiki.maemo.org/CSSU and i install cssu stable but when i want to update step. it say like in the picture i attached . and later on the new cssu xterminal shaw once and didnt show again.what to do any help?

Yep that was the problem from start . You never upgraded your device . You need to flash pr1.3 to be eligible for cssu update its was the last major update by nokia . To flash yor device http://wiki.maemo.org/Updating_the_firmware will help and for flashfiles flasher just search here.

Unless you're extremely big like Microsoft or whatnot, you don't run servers directly to the Internet. You run through a cloud service that will prevent DDoS, give you security and way other stuff.

Softlayer Technologies is one of the most successful security companies in the world. You should be worried if you see a direct connection to WhatsApp instead since you're gonna be hacked eventually.

WhatsApp Inc. uses Softlayer to protect themselves against DDoS and hacking. It's not something Yappari does; Yappari just connects to c.whatsapp.net like phones with the official WhatsApp client.

EDIT: By the way your post seems pretty offensive since you're insinuating I'm hacking people or acting as a middle man to hack phones. Yappari is 100% OpenSource you can read the code and compile it yourself. So please do me a personal favor and remove Yappari and stop using it.

Lately my Yappari is misbehaving
Like when i send msg to someone it show "white tick" mark
and 5/10 messages has "one tick" mark which means it is delivered to the server but not to the mobile phone.

is this problem encountered by others also or am i the only one having this issue

That's really sad, Scorpius! Though I use both n900 and n9 I love the n900 more and I have no reasons to explain why. Anyway, would some donation motivate you?

some of my application catalouges nokia application and nokia system software update it say 403 error or forbidden knowing that i flash my n900 and install cssu stable.(also sum catalouges are disable?).

Hi scorpius! I've got a little problem: i've deleted the sounds folder in /home/user/.yappari/cache/sounds to clean up faster the vocal recordings that i made, then i've recreated it, but now i'm not able to make voice recording in yappari anymore! I've tought to reinstall yappari, but i don't want to lose my conversations... How can i solve?

Does anybody know why I can't change my profile picture ? I'm using version 1.1.46 Build 4607, and for a while everything worked perfectly, and one time when I changed my profile picture, everyone else would still see my old picture. Then I tried removing my profile picture and adding it again. Now everybody keeps telling me that I don't have a profile picture, and I don't know how to fix that.

I sincerely hope Scorpius won't stop working completely on Yappari. It might be true that Maemo has come to it's end by now, but the n900 is still a very usable device, in many ways yet to be surpassed by any other I've tried/seen/heard of. I've been using Jolla for about 6 months (and the n9 before it) but have finally run out of patience and am going back to the n900. So yes, there are n900 users out there who aren't prepared to stop being just that, and yes, we'd love to see Yappari be kept alive :)

I can't use Yappari anymore as the process has ~100% cpu usage all the time and it drains battery in about 6 hours. The application itself works. It was happening occasionally earlier and killing / restarting has helped but now it's like this even after a reboot.
