Im also encountering same problem, no yappari crashes only connection closed problem and its consistent on sync contacts. I tried your above solution but it didnt worked, i also have tried changing dns to opennic and others but still its same. I have pmed you the log.

How often are you synchronizing contacts? the answer should be "NEVER" or "RARELY" since Yappari does it automatically. If you keep pressing Sync Contacts all the time to whatever reason you might have you get this disconnections from WhatsApp.

Anyway try deleting the file /home/user/.yappari/roster.db (since it's corrupted) and resynchronize again (this time you should press the button).

scorpius there is any way to add sending and receiving locations and have to be kept with the application of nokia maps or even better with waze
would be quite convenient as it is one of the few things missing from this dealer

I guess there must be a way, but I'm not implementing anything new in Yappari. Just fixing bugs for the rest of the year (I'm heavily working on fixing the emoji, every weekend I spend half saturday and half sunday on it).

Most of us have moved to another platform. Personally even I still love the N900, I couldn't bear anymore how slow it is compared to today's phone standards (most phones are quad-core and pretty fast). Also got tired of the browser incompatibility with almost every website and the inability to do everything in potrait with one hand.

But what hurt me the most was that the battery only lasted few hours on 3G where most phones nowadays last 3 days in 3G/4G.

I really like the htc migrate but even hard for me to leave my nokia n900 and my n9.

truth what you say makes sense about speed and other nuclei but talk about something unique in its kind and although they are the king and the prince bastard his legacy there are still many who use it very often

same is happening for me... Seems to be when swapping from cell connection to wifi. Connection is not always resumed, yappari keeps trying to reconnect but eventually stops trying & then shuts itself down (or crashes).. Anyways, happens once to three times a day (depending how often I swap b/w cell & wifi). Apart from this problem, Yappari is fantastic...

also, make sure you have the needed -dbg packages installed, otherwise that backtrace won't be much helpful

EDIT: install gdb from extras-devel, not from extras, it is much newer version

I didn't mean yappari-dbg, but the rest (libc, qt, glib, etc), otherwise gdb won't be able to do a backtrace

Are you sure you deleted the right log? There's a line in the history of the conversations of that group that is crashing Yappari. You have to either delete that log or leave that group.

That's because Yappari supports more image formats than the stock image viewer, but I never implemented a built-in image viewer.

just a "temporary" update where most popular emojis from Windows Phone and iPhones are fixed.

I have fixed 1206 emojis in the last month or two. It IS a lot of work. Hundreds still remain.

Anyway I found a little bug and had to release another version, 1.1.49.

I did delete the logs, and I am not able to leave the group because it crashes within 3 secs that I logged in.

and also BT parental controls on medium setting are blocking yappari too. ( my dad set it and I am 25 still I dont know he did, sigh)

First upgrade to 1.1.49.

Then delete the whole /home/user/.yappari folder, if you can login and Yappari doesn't shut down, then press on Synchronize Now and everything should back to normal.

Upgraded to 1.1.49 but when i open yappari it says 1.1.48... Also delete whole the files that you said but when synchronizing, it log out and disconnected..

No.

I can change my profile picture, my connection is stable (Yappari doesn't really work in 2.5G), and my messages are always delivered.

Looks like you have a very bad connection. Yappari works best in 3G or WiFi, but in 2.5G Yappari sometimes doesn't work really good.

I have a problem. I don't know what to do. Problem is, Yappari closes itself when the phone goes online. If it's offline, it behaves well. But the second I go online, the main window closes and I get no messages or notifications.

My former log grew to 270 MB. I made a backup of it and began with an empty log and the window still closes. I attach the new log since size limits do not allow me to post the old blog (bzipped out it's 72 MB).

Any hint or help will be appreciated. Thank you!
