I so did it.. not even last few days just day B4 yesterday...
firstly I installed the yappari 0.0.3 version from meagoexpert.com
it dint work I was so frustrated bcz I donated Tglal as he said he was making it for both N900 and N9... and he ditched us.. I thought it was a hoax... but I read the thread ( I kindda skipped and downloaded yappari lolz)
thats when I found out... there is .java whats app version
took me a couple of tries. using this method

at first I was getting error that I have used a lot of call registry method on bluestack... then I tried again later and it worked

I found out the regstep value should be 1

and do not copy and paste there make sure u copy through ur cell phone inbuilt notes



firstly I installed the yappari 0.0.3 version then I found about this thread.. downloaded the 0.0.17 version...
the new yappari asked for my cell no.
I inserted my cell no. it dint accept. as my country code was there
later I removed the + sign from the country code in yappari which is already present there and It worked

I am no expert but it worked for me and I am happy for that....

shaz well then if you have tried 0.0.16 BEFORE 0.0.17 maybe it would have worked. 0.0.17 has the registration broken even if Whatsapp wasn't blocking it.

Group chat is supported but you can't start it, if somebody else does it for you, it'll work.

I first installed 0.0.3 version which is on

for like a few hours it was weird bcz it had no sync and I had no Idea if It worked or not.. So I whatapped my frnd if u see this rply back..
I waited for 15 mins there was no reply I thought it was hoax.. and I went out.. (I dont have a data plan) when I came back I saw my frnds reply welcome to whatsapp.. I felt happy thats when I went back to site to check the 1st reply date it was some june 2012 So I searched on Maemo.org for the developers thread and found the 0.0.17 version read each and every bit
yeah the 0.0.17 dint work... So I downloaded all the version.. and then I installed the 0.0.9 version opened Yappari
it asked me for my number confirmation thats when I thought I should remove the + sign from the country code since its there by default and it worked

then I installed the 0.0.17 version works perfectly fine for me

So you registered your nr. before whatsapp blocked the registration. Thatswhy you can still use it.

Just a thought ... since I registered with the java port in the past and simply changed the yappari config file myself later on (which worked wonders): can't new people register with an official app (using a 'droid or iphone)?

I never registered for whatsapp earlier... neither on java.... nor using any phone....

Then you have a different IMEI and yappari needs to register again. It would be too simple ;)
But I read a post where someone used Nitdroid to register with the official client, then blocked the data connection and booted meamo with yappari again. It worked, but I don't know details, cause yappari still works for me. :)

but you mentioned, you used yappari in june for the first time. So you registered in june...and in june the world was still ok.

Oh sorry it came out wrong I went back to meegoexpert.com to check when was the 1st comment posted So that I can search if there is any updated on yappari

I Installed yappari.v.0.0.3 on friday night(27/7/2012) and I found the process for registering whatsapp .java and using yappari on saturday(28/7/2012) took me whole day to configure it... using bluestack whatsapp... but It finally worked...

most fo the time it shows me
connecting
conected and the
connection timed out..

why does this happen?
i m on gprs and i can open webpages and my internet is working fine

I was running java app -> 0.0.3 (via meegoexpert forum too) -> 0.0.17 with manual patched config file.

You don't need to start as low as 0.0.3, actually that's not recommended since several things changed after that and Yappari will ask you to register again.

If you want to try to register, you should use 0.0.16, but I don't think it's gonna work (Whatsapp blocked it).

i was unable to register via yeppari... but was able to reg through java port using bluestacks TODAY!!! :)

If u register exactly the same way this post says...

when u r editing the prefs.xml file

this line <entry key="REGSTEP" value="1"/> takes you to the
verification number

then as it say switch off the N900...

register through bluestack... it tries to send the the sms for some couple of mins.

then the sms fail message is displayed

after that switch on ur N900...
and in bluestack press call me for verification code..

and u will get the call
Input the verification code in Ur N900 (NOT BLUE STACK WHATSAPP)

the version 0.0.3 and 0.0.9 is what I did...

and it worked for me.......

Great. In the end the pc software that I took, I reintroduced the use of Yappari 0.0.17. WORKS 100%.

I imagined that he could not continue using Yappari just by the power not to register via sms.

I guess if we could apply this process to Yappari software. Though I suppose that will always lack the BlueStacks PC, according to the process said the post I mentioned. You must use BlueStacks, although the SMS reaches you well, and then to call you, teaching the same number. I turned on the software installed with the following files:

I asked the code, I entered, and it works Yappari again, this latest version as well.

Scorpius Thanks for this version so entertaining, and operating on these phones. I am delighted with the N900. I'm back ... Whatsapp. xDDD. :)

When an Unknown contact contacts me I can see the name and not the number....

Its kindda weird .....

bcz there were frnds I gave my number prolly in 2008
i dont sync phones

can we have some way to see the contact details

Scorpius, it seems those server messages are back again. There's a recent development that started at around 3PM (GMT+2). it goes like this:

I start Yappari. it shows:

connecting

connected

Logged in

(then i receive the message "a new version of whatsapp is available")

Connection closed by server

Then the "connecting-connected-logged in-message-connection closed" cycle starts again

I have received close to 70 messages from the server, and it's getting a bit annoying now. is it possible to make an app fix for us to get rid of this annoying situation. i'm using version 0.0.17
