Yesterday i receive a message on the screen that says something like "error 1, whatsapp serverr down? sync fail" (not exactly like that, don't remember exactly).

Now when i watch the profile of X person, automatically puts the message on his/hers status "hi there i am using whatsapp" (not sure if is related with the previous message.

If i sync contacs, some of them change to the correct status, some of them stay with "hi there i am using whatsapp".

thanks for this great app.
i'm using latest version of yappari. when i open profile page of any contact, in most of case, status update to whatsapp default status 'Hey, there im using whatsapp'. and i confirmed that those contacts not set default status.

I'm sure u will fix it as soon as possible.

Yeah, looks like WhatsApp changed the method of user status retrieval.

I'm not working on Yappari at the moment so I don't really know when I can fix that.

mute is not blocking, its just muting your phone when you recieve message

It would be nice to get a datecode in the changelog on the first page of this thread. Only version number is not very helpful. But i like the client.

A search function in chats like in contacts would be nice.

The application works fine on my Nokia N900. Thanks for this port. One thing: When receiving a new message, it opens a new windows even if the contact with who i'm talking has its window opened. Except this, everything is fine! Thanks again.

There's an option if you don't like that. Go to settings and look for it (don't remember the exact name though but it's something like "Pop up window when blah blah blah")

I don't think so WhatsApp did the changes in method of status retrieval. When I tested it update the status on Create Chat list page on Contact sync, but once the profile of contact has been opened/viewed it set the status "Hey, there I am using whatsapp".
Once this status has been changed even on contact list its not updating On contact Sync.

WhatsApp has two methods to retrieve the status: One is the "external approach": A different connection via https to a different server with a custom authentication and you can retrieve all your address book status.

That one stays the same.

Then it has the "internal approach" called "SendGetUserStatus" which is a tiny query to retrieve a single person status. This one doesn't work anymore.

When you synchronize, the external is used and then you can see the correct status in Create Chat.

When you open the Contact Info, the status is retrieved again (in case the user changed it). This one doesn't work anymore. WhatsApp just killed it.

My chat history is gone each time I change Sim, where can i get it back please, no backup?
I should like to suggest next release should have word wrap and also to use ENTER key to go to the next line when typing. Mere suggestion anyway. Thanks Scorpious. Grt Job

I just installed .35 and can't get it to register.

It tries, then says "SMS Registration Failed", along with "Registration couldn't be completed. Reason unknown". If I click the "Call Me" buton, the "Registration couldn't be completed. Reason unknown" dialog reappears.

Weird. You should get an error like "Your date & time settings of your phone are not correct".

Check your date & time settings of your phone they have to be accurate for SSL to work.

Time and date were in fact incorrect (I messed with the battery and they got reset), but I've now corrected them and the problem persists exactly the same as before. A detail I forgot before: the first "Registration couldn't be completed" message appears twice. As in, when I tap "Done" it reappears again. Another tap clears it.

I deleted the content of .config/scorpius to no avail.

Edit: weird, despite me having set the date it seems it didn't stick. I noticed when I went on Facebook on the browser and it complained about certificates with bad dates. I set it again, and now the date is saved properly and Yappari registers again.

Sorry for the false alarm, I've no idea how this happened.

I tried sending a 10MB video file to my friend. It got uploaded completely but stuck forever on "Please wait, Might take several minutes". I faced problem for the first time.

i want to ask why my yappari can't be launch any more (the yappari failed to open) are the yappari in maintenace right now, how about you guys.. thx before

nb. im found one of them error can't open (log of chat) soo im delete one number from log (+xxxxxxxx8789.dblog) and voila its done & working fine. is this a bugs or network trouble? because im doing of that more than 1 time until i dont now when the crash came back again..

Delete/backup the log file. Start Yappari again. If it crashes send the new log that is created.

You're blocked.

WhatsApp blocks when:

1.- People register too often (change device often and re-register on each device).

2.- People send broadcasts messages too often (spammer).

You would have to email WhatsApp Inc. to ask them to unblock you.

When Yappari did not want to log in, I tried to register via BlueStacks.
That was a mistake!

Now I can not do anything?

Could you explain this: I had all the contacts with their proper statuses. I clicked on a contact and his status changed to "hey there bla bla.."(internal as you say). Then I tried multiple times to "Sync Now"(external as you say) even after phone restarts and his status remained the default... Is there any other option than deleting roster.db to fix statuses after they are obtained "internally" ?

The retreived status is only updated if the timestamp of it is newer than the timestamp of the status already stored in DB to avoid IO access that makes your phone VERY slow.

But the "bogus" status always have a newer timestamp (actually the current date/time) so you won't ever see the real status until the bug is fixed.

i cant login my yappari after i installed the update 0.35 v. after entering the number and pressing the save button as usual, it says sms registration failed. when i press call button, it says server blocked. plz help me. sending the log.
also, since my older log was very huge, i removed it from the original place, and sending u this newer log, which is smaller. giving the same error.

@KEN007 Blocked means blocked and we can't do anything about it.

You have to email WhatsApp to request an unblock (you can try but you actually lost your account forever).

Read the thread: If you were re-registering two or more devices too often you get blocked.

Why people want to have WhatsApp everywhere? You can only have WhatsApp in ONE DEVICE AND ONE DEVICE ONLY or else you WILL GET BLOCKED.

You CAN'T DO THAT!!! if WhatsApp detects another connection it will disconnect the previous one you can't have both at the same time in two different devices: YOU WILL GET BLOCKED AND LOSE YOUR ACCOUNT FOREVER

I believe cdooh means multiple instances of Yappari running on the same device. I have come across this before, where Yappari would struggle to maintain a connection and constantly disconnecting, strangely I would still receive messages, only to realise that there is actually another instance of Yappari running in the background. Normally I would kill all Yappari instances then I would launch Yappari again.

P.S. I am not reporting a bug, as I suspect the problem is caused by some scripts I'm having on my N900.

I have a strange phenomenon with one contact (might be with others too, but this one is my best friend, who I write with daily, so I noticed it): Usually the "last seen" was always correctly updated, but for a couple of days it didn't update as it should. Sometimes it just doesn't update for some hours, then it does, and twice it happened to me that I was actively writing with her and instead of "online" the last seen showed a time a couple of hours back.

Not exactly a big problem, but I thought it worth mentioning.

(Or is that connected to the broken status request thingy? But it does work sometimes, i.e. usually when I write with her she is correctly marked as "online")

Mlwane what scripts could those be, have a lot of apps on my phone can't keep track what does what. I recent moved to cssu stable btw

i dindt use whatsapp on any other device; i was using it only on my phone; and one day after updating, it coudnt connect. it kept giving me the same error. thought of waiting and trying after a week or so, since i had xmz, wasnt using it. but still the same problem, so consulted u. anyways, thanx a lot for that. i will email them and see if anything can be done. or else will take a new sim..
