Re: It's the final countdown!

oh we have done plenty...
about 1% of it has been :
beautiful arts,
music,
poetry,
architecture,
and great acts of selflessness...

the other 99% has been:
causing destruction,
pain,
suffering,
wars,
environmental devastation,
genocides,
and wholesale extinction of species.
to the point of ruin for all.

As my grandpappy used to say...
"If you are going to screw up bad...make sure you do a good job of it."

And ..We are doing a fabulous job.

The one percent... Does it really help humanity moving forward?

Maybe we should task every country and citizens with a specific task to boost progress of humanity? First year it’s every country to decided and a the same time create a roadmap...

But this the life we chose and the life will lead but who/what led us here

Oh yeah....the 1% moving things "forward" !
Yes they do...and positively too...
And then the other 99% get a hold of it.
Einstein was a great example...
He just wanted to give the world free energy..and lift eveveryone from poverty and need.
Then the 99% got a hold of his work and twisted it into a nightmare we are still in fear of.

Yeah. The nukes you mean? “Einstein did not split the atom. He was a theorist who developed relativity and some components of quantum mechanics. ... The only things Einstein ever split were (1) common property during his divorce, and (2) perhaps a dinner check or two with his colleagues. Einstein was a theorist.”

Einstein did not personally split the atom but his theories were used to help in the development of nukes. Its kinda like saying "I'm not responsible if you don't understand what I'm saying". Here Einstein might say, I'm not responsible if you use my theories to help blow up the world."

But Einstein did recommend US to put resources into “power full bombs”. But it was a different time so let’s leave it there.

The question is...if Einstein Thought about and what he expected from the reasearch. If not bombs.

Nukes are available so it will be used unfortunately. I still not understand how many poeple must be included in a nuclear launch. Can a submarine captain launch nukes without anyone else. I understand that there are security measures and verfication of codes. But still I think they can launch it without external parties since that’s the purpose of sub.

So I think the presidents and the golden codes. But except the leaders a few select submarine captains must be the only ones to be able initiate launching nuklear warheads.
