I would buy an extended warranty if I were you, though. Black holes small enough to fit in a ride-on mower won't last very long due to Hawking radiation. And they tend to pop with quite a bang. In the order of megatons of TNT. |
Re: It's the final countdown!
There is the "weight" issue too that everyone is skipping..
Holding it suspended ? All it sucks is just going to increase its weight as well... Good luck finding a dozen continuously infinitely increasing hair dryers that will be able to perpetually blow enough air to keep THAT ever hungry, ever consuming, ever growing, ever weight increasing gem. Hope the power never goes...nor whatever apparatus IS the suspension containment be able to withstand the ever increasing force and pull and prevent it from getting sucked into the black hole ... and yup...the moment the little sucker has "gas" and "burps" ...there goes the containment field for sure. Also ...the containment would have to be something super special in ability to not only perpetually ramp up its containment ability as the wee bairn grows...but to also be able to move further away from it while outputting even more containment power... Since the warping and distorting and stretching of space and time will just get worse the closer anything gets to it...and its area of influence surrounding it grow at mad rate ... I doubt that a simple box of Unobtainium with a door on it and some fancy powerful infinitely adaptive super hair dryers are going to keep it suspended and contained .. |

I think the universe have some cool features installed for us. Like eastern eggs. When it’s time for us to go head to head vs a black hole i think we will be ready. Imagine if you traveling in the speed of light straight at a mega size black whole. Sinze you already traveling in that speed of light you could survive. The question is. Now...Will it be like hitting a wall or a tunnel? |
Re: It's the final countdown!
First concerning "When it’s time for us to go head to head vs a black hole i think we will be ...headless....first."
As far as what it will be like... tunnel or wall...? I think... This... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Amy5tXk3Dl4 a bit of both? |

Re: It's the final countdown!
too bad you can't see it Dave...
excellent scene ...from the sci fi series the expanse .. the follow up to the scene ...I had a couple ideas of what would happen...a few postulations ...but what DID happen freaking shocked me silly. The scene completely threw me off guard. Completely... Made me jump out of my chair in fact. I think I was saying "holy f#ck!" about 15 times straight...I can't remember...completely threw me...completely . One expects a few things when watching theoretical what ifs when a subject is facing the unknown...sci fi can be good for making the mind ...forcing it to try to think ahead to see where the action and reaction may lead ..in such theoretical work. But the sudden severity, effect and excellent rendering of physics on a human body such as the scene I posted...from the expanse... Was akin to comfortably sleeping in a cozy warm bed and someone dumping ice water right on your brain . So well done...shock is the best word. Yeah ...the Expanse has to be one of the best shows on tv right now. Watched every episode..can't wait for the next season |
