Yes. Prices are getting ridiculously high. Just a few years ago the top tier phones were in the $600 range. If you can get used to the width, the Note 8 may be your best bet.

Yeah. But device are pretty cheap in US compared to most other places. Atleast when it comes to tech. Especially when it comes to Apple.

I think I’ll go for an android when one appears without being a finger print magnet back cover.

I would find the cut out part of screen on iphoneX quite annoying. Much better ways of handling notifications and camera while keeping full screen...

No sure if this would be an issue when you have used it a day or more. Time will tell.

Razer phone or Razer scam!

Tomorrow we will know!

Indeed. I'm all for reducing the size of the bezel but it's getting silly now with these so called flagship devices. The Galaxy Edge looks nice at first glance but if you watch a full screen video it looks horribly distorted.

I think he first thought It could be an Alien vessel but after investigation and during the passage through our galaxy he did update the headline.

For budget conscious folks that have been scared away by the price of the iPhoneX, you might consider the HTC U11+. Looks pretty good and can be bought for tbe low price of $851.

Excellent choice!
What color? Blue. Do you have the 360 cam?

Mocha brown. It's kind of a brown/gold color. I'm thinking of getting 360 camera sometime in the near future. Also getting the usb-c to hdmi to have desktop experience.

I think there are a lot of very good smart phones out there. Probably won't go wrong with whatever you get.

Know where I can by this?

http://consumer.huawei.com/en/access...on-360-camera/

I can't find anyone selling them...

This is kind of cool, although it is ,as I understand it, only supported on the Mate 10 Pro. Not the Mate 10...

Not sure. I’ve seen that some shops giving the cam away for free when preorder mate. Regarding the pen, no clue.

Hope you’ll find one. Not really understood if a cam like that’s is usefull or only fun try for a short while.

Various types of visualization is helpful for my work.

Also, another one of the reasons I got Mate 10.

Yet another cool feature. The front fps is used for navigation. No buttons on screen. You tap to go back, swipe for recent apps, and hold to go home.

Briefly checked out the iphoneX at BestBuy. Seems to have a very nice build. The top notch in the screen layout is something you can probably get used to but I still don't like. Very very smooth operation. You swipe up to close app. Very original idea... jk. The animations are a bit too cartoonish for me. For example, when you close an app by swiping up, the current image seen of running app morphs back to the icon. It's cute a couple of times.

Sounds pretty simple. Morpd back into the Icon? Got to see that. Love smooth transitions.

This mega star morphs into a bright light and simply wont die. Could be aliens harvesting energy?

I wonder where they got it from. Original? Yeah, right.
Not very intuitive either. Swipe down like in MeeGo or Sailfish makes more sense.

I think swipe up is much more user friendly since it can easier be executed with one hand, even on bigger screens. What have Apple done with swipe up for shortcut to quick settings? That was swipe up before?

Swipe down should from top is bad. Mkey.

Swipe up originally came from WebOS before Nokia copied it and inverted it. Swipe up was also used in Blackberry OS. I found it slightly annoying that Harmattan went for swipe down but was actually grateful that they included it at all after it was missing from the developer programme beta.

You could also do swipe gestures from android phones that are rooted and have Xposed module swipe back. Can also use gmd gestures. The gestures can be set up from any edge. On my note edge I had my swipe gestures mostly run from the right edge. For example, if I swiped to the left it would kill a job. The animation would look like the app was sliding off the screen kind of like what the N9 did. If you just motioned a little (kind of a partial swipe) you could peak behind the app to the home screen to check something there. Was also set up so that if I swipe down on the right edge it would take me to the last app I used. If I swiped up on the right edge it would bring be back to where I was.

Does it matter who was first? Well if you found an alien war machine on a crusade through the universe I might raise an eyebrow. But swip down to close an application?

Only for patents! Actually swipe user interface was invented by aliens on a distant planet eons ago. Same thing with discovery/invention of general relativity theory and so forth...

Don't forget the use of stone tools. I have also read Space Odyssey. (I tried to watch it too but it was too boring. The book was much better.)
