AHHH yes ...the worms arrogante....not bad....way back in the day I was a royal canadian air farcer and codco lover...those guys were funny....more contemporary would be 22 minutes ...originally called "This Hour Has 22 minutes" (the title making fun on the face of it .. exactly how much actual viewing you get between commercials)...a farce on the very old and extremely popular "This hour has 7 days" a very insightful program back in the day

Fascinating isn't it?
As as species we have gone from boom to bust literally countless times...this time is significant though...very significant.
While I tend to abstain from the urge to say the "sky-is-falling!" ...since upon reflection apocalypses come and go for so many cultures...and come again. The true eye-opener is that the term "apocalypse" is derived from the greek denoting "to reveal that which was hidden or unknown" ...not doomsday which is a modern (laughable) context (since it may mean the eradication of human ...but I doubt all life).
I will have to remember where I saw a most interesting paper...adding a further and colder chill up the spine.
In it the paper stated the most obvious in such a way as I was even surprised I hadn't thought on it.
If/ when there is a civilizational/ sociological/ industrial/ technological/ collapse next...unless it is absolutely avoided at all cost...(which seems highly improbable)..it will mean the end of our advancement as a species ...not extinction ...more of a ..regression

...Unlike past civilizations which bounced back ..there will be no bounce back this time. Past civilizations bounced back by means of more advanced tech methods of extraction of natural resources. ...In the past... individual empire...individual civilizations came and went...most lasted much longer than the 200-400 year current one...As well other empires/ civilizations separate from another were superseded by the next...or neighbouring one...ALL past empires were not interconnected the way the current planetary civilization is... ALL empire regardless of time.. is dependant on natural resource though. The minerals and metals easily mined and extracted from the surface of the planet to pull our species from a dark age are no longer present...having been mined long ago.....Now it takes a high level of advanced technology and resource to mine what we need from many many many miles below the surface at very very remote and inhospitable places on the planet.
From a simple logistical let alone logical standpoint...
If we fall ...now...we will not be getting back up... like we used to.
That horrible new age that would follow... would make the dark ages look bright....
and we won't be coming out of it....
we won't be able to....

Well, it probably isn't as bad as that. I think human civilization will still continue but probably more so like in a Dr. Strangelovian sense.
I guess not too bad a situation if you are a guy. But getting back to a short range countdown. I get my Jolla phone on April 14 so 25 days to go! Gee. I hope the world does not end by then! Although, judging by the Jolla user experience on some threads, that might actually be a blessing...

I start 'er up ...bout once or twice a week...run it through some paces.....not much past reading and a bit of music tho... tinker with some programs ...no cutting edge stuff ( :D ) ....how many would be interested in new programs for the 770 ...I wonder.

the bulk of workload I leave to my n800's...for working daily in the shop...for long distance travel...since I have soooo much on sd card.

and use my n810's for day trips...when my lady wants to shop...etc..
just great fun devices I'm not too worried about anything happening to.


my n8x0 are pretty sturdy beasts ...unlike my overzealous cautiousness with how I baby my n900....I'm sure I'll be breathing a big sigh of relief when I have a better built neo900 in my hands

Hi. Not much of a micro manager... I believe in live and let live. Today I went to a computer store and the sales person was raving about his windows phone and how nicely integrated his social apps are. I sighed and said that's nice and was happy that he was happy.

3 days to go. I'm a little worried because since my phone has been purchased there have been two updates but it has yet to come out of
