I tried to do the same but for some reason I can't send .debs to my N9 from Windows7 so I stopped stockpiling the installers on my computer and just did everything on the phone. Some of them are still on the MyDocs/Downloads folder but not all.

Edit: yay! It's downloading. Let's see if OTA goes well and I don't have to nuke everything and start from scratch... :D

Can anyone say if the choppy audio is fixed with using Bluetooth with a car stereo or headset? (audio would break up a lot with PR1.2)

As far as I can tell... somehow.. Thats exactly I was waiting for, but to be honest with you this just might be my wishful thinking since I got disconnected few times. Looks like still scans for wifi/interent connection while on bluetooth connection.. Another thing is, cant use my hands free car set to answer a call anymore. I mean I can talk through my set, but cant pick up a phone call(buttons on my steering wheel). Before I could see it on my stereo that somebody is calling and hear it through my car's speakers. Now its only my phone that rings and shows a new call. Tried to pair it few times. Still the same...

Another thing I noticed, but not really anything major. Cant look at reviews in nokia/ovi store anymore. Keeps loading forever, but nothing happens... Was like before or is it just me?

ok i'm a bit confused...

pr1.3 is in navifirm for nearly every region aviable... even malaysia... but why there is a black 16gb version for every region except malaysia???

It is a bug in Ovi Store, nothing to do with PR 1.3. I am still in PR 1.2 and I cannot see reviews either.

Actually, for me, the Store has been slightly improved.

It's a tiny bit faster to browse, and seems to throw up less errors.

It's still a steaming pile.

Now I'm thinking... anyone try to install an Android app yet? Maybe they added that without telling anyone.

No, in fact, installing OTA has automatically installed all Nokia app updates.

Several Youtube videos I had downloaded are not playing - "format unsupported". And they also fail on cutetube 0.4 (the program used for downloading)

Fortunately, they do no longer stutter every 100 frames like in PR1.2

Finished updating mine. Sucks that I have to reinstall everything. Can't comment on speed or other improvements, as I have a long day ahead of me. -_-

Though I feel I'd still be let down after experiencing the capabilities of the N900 and NOTE first-hand.

I actually reset my phone before installing PR1.3 - i find that way you get a clean install. Sure reinstalling all the apps is a bit of a pain, but at least this way i don't run in to any problems

Yeah I hated that audio was choppy. Unfortunately like I expected, it's still present in PR 1.3. I'm really pissed. Update was not really an "up"date it was more of a catching-up-date. PR 1.3 fixes should have been there a loooong time ago. A lot more the N9 needs improved, PR 1.3 barely made a dent in improving user experience.

Whatever, I had the N95 8gb, the N900 and now the N9 and Nokia has been very good with keeping a track record of S*** support and ultra buggy software. I FINALLY learned my lesson, keep my wallet away from Nokia!

Hopefully community continues where Nokia left off.

cant believe there is over 1000 improvements.. im glad i left android for a nokia phone. and i was just starting to loose hope :D

this phone is around a year old right? maybe older. if this we're owned by Google then it would already be considered a legacy device and would still be on pr1.1. now people should know why Nokia won't ever choose android, if they did they would probably just now be getting gingerbread lol. :)

when i connect my n9 to the computer , and launch NOKIA SOFTWARE UPDATER , it s say that the size of the update is 1 GO , i instal it , and NO change in my phone -> Attachment 27153

I'm getting a little bit tired of repeating this, given that the exact same things happened last time with PR1.2 - just download the firmware image and flash it. There's no disadvantage besides having to back up your stuff, and you don't have to wait at all.

Is there a way to find out if your update notification/Check hasnt been hijacked again and it is working properly?
There was a file manager app a little while ago that if you had it installed would not take you to the right repositories to check for the update.

Don't assume everyone is capable of doing this, especially since it requires a fair amount of know-how. Some people like to play it safe, rather than plunge in. I too am getting tired of seeing snide comments like "just download the firmware and flash it". He was just asking if anyone in his region got the update.

I live in KSA , last nyt got d notification of software update but when i clicked on the notification it took me to the app update window in settings-applications-manage applications, bt then there was nothing in it. I restarted my phone and manually refreshed the update window and again got d notification bt same thing happened, only notification appears and nothing else in the update window..And now it even is nt showing any notification on manually refreshing or checking via the nokia suite (3.5.21 beta)... Any one with any idea on this issue ????

I got the update on my Austria device in Germany yesterday and installed it in about 20 minutes without problems.
But what are the surprises of PR 1.3? i cant find something ... no Skype videocall.. no bookmarks in web browser... Nokias head of MeeGo left the team... very sad

I'm in Bahrain and managed to update it using Nokia suite beta yesterday. it backed up everything for me automagically, except downloaded applications!

Open browser -> N9 Connects to internet -> do your stuff -> Close Browser -> N9 Disconnects from the internet
Open twitter -> N9 Connects to intenet -> do your stuff -> Close Twitter -> N9 stays always connected to the internet

you can do any flashing you want...don't be worried about difference in colour/capacity/branding
