How come?

You can find it on Navifirm?! It's definitely there..

Still not possible to write longer subjects in emails (kind of a bother if you're using tags and things for certain services). There was a bug reported on this, and I believe marked as fixed, but is not.

Yeah, sorry. Strange tho (at least for me), it is not on the Nokia Servers but Production External servers.
What are these servers and what is the meaning of this? Is it common for new firmware to appear on "external" servers?

Hi, everyone,

One thing that happened that nobody else mentioned (or that I didn't find at least) is that Accuweather was due to an upgrade to version 1.0.19 from 1.0.17 *after* the OS upgrade. I tried it but it said it couldn't go ahead due to some other dependencies needing it.

I did the obvious thing: uninstall it and attempt to install agian from the Store. The store had the old version (1.0.17) and it coulnd't install because it couldn't figure out the dependencies. I'm on Meecast now, so really don't know if the problem has been fixed. I suspect this is a Store/Accuweather issue, but not massive IMHO.

Had the same problem with accuweather after ota update.
Also N9 was a bit laggy

Solved it by reinstalling PR1.3 over Nokia Suite

Now everything works fine so far :)

Still haven't found my update. But I'm very happy for all of you out there with the latest and the greatest.

Let's hope nokia can speed up the process in the upper om inget days...

PR 1.2 ruined the video playback experience - any video I tried was choppy and stuttery. It annoyed me every time I needed to watch something.

I haven't updated to 1.3 yet. Can anyone (who has) please confirm that videos (such as the included Dolby one with the girl making funny noises) are now as smooth as previously in PR 1.1?

I never had any issues with videos on PR1.2 I just checked the Dolby video and it plays seemlessly for me

It is fixed. I just checked the Nokia pure video, where the pauses used to be quite noticeable in Pr1.2. Now it plays smoothly.

Yes, that might be the case. But I'm ready for Nokia's update slowness. This was the same for both the priveous updates. And will probably continue in the next device nokia n10. Just have to prepare yourself for the worse.

Is it my imagination or did charging time almost double? Also my battery is acting quite weird now. I have low power mode set to kick in at 10% yet a little while ago it gave me notice that it was going into that mode about 5 minutes or so after I looked at it and it was at 18% and after the notice I looked and it was at 4% which is contradicting itself.

18 - 4% is a bug. reboot the phone and it'll come up to something like 12%...

I have had this bug already from the beginning.
And it is not fixed in PR 1.3.

Finally switched to PR1.3 - all of my prior PR1.2 hiccups have been cured, it seems like the battery is better behaved - went all day, used the phone for 4 hours and was still over 25% with bluetooth on.

I still have run into the bluetooth/wifi issue where the audio gets garbled if I'm on wifi and using my bluetooth earpiece.

I've had no issues with anything else, but cannot remember if there was ever a good task app, like Clear for iOS...

I got tired of waiting for my Dubai phone to update, just flashed it using other firmware. Not like I'm covered by any warrantees.

I cant confirm, that the battery is any better. This battery draining bug is still there in PR1.3 and my avg idle consumption was again over 20mA after the update. It should be 6-8 mA. This is really annoying. Well ok, I will enable dev-mode again and push some shortcuts around...

Buying a sim free phone (swiss country variant) in my case I had to wait for almost 3 months to upgrade to PR1.2, how long do I have to wait for PR1.3 ...

I've had the same experience, and I'm still waiting - but if you don't care about losing your apps, just download firmware with NaviFirm and flash it :)

I encountered a bug with the PR1.3 but I'm not sure if I was unlucky, needed to reboot, or if there is actually an issue.

When I record a video, it freezes for 3/4 seconds every 1 minute.

Does anyone have the same issue ?

Re: The Awesome Über Mega Epic N9 PR1.3 Discussion Thread!

The key difference is apps, data, then I had no apps installed/purchased and flushing was ok. My mistake is that I should had changed the product code instead of flushing fw.
One of the reasons I bought the phone sim-free is to be able to install plain upgrades and not depend on customised provider ones ;-(

Anyone of you knows how to solve NSU error when installing on Windows 7 laptop? It keeps on saying that "installation already in progress, wait until it's done and try installing again"?

Just downloaded and install the Nokia Suite 3.5.x beta. With it I get a sw update notice for my Philippines Black 64GB N9. Since I want to retain all the installed software, I'll wait for the OTA update.

N9 doesn't close the WLAN connection when you close an app that use the internet. I would consider it a bug if it does. Notifications and background updates still need to use online data. There is no benefit to disconnect the WLAN as the battery saving is negligible. Even worse, background updates will start to use mobile data if available.

Received my OTA firmware upgrade here in New York about 8am this morning. After reading you guys comments for the past couple days, I've been playing with it all morning, and must say I'm not too impressed with pr 1.3 . Any fresh OS install will make the phone snappier, so it being snappier after the install and reboot was expected. I see small changes as many of you guys mentioned before.
I really think they should have done a couple big items, like getting skype video chat working (this might be software developer and not nokia's fault), or the ability to change fonts and font sizes.

:D Just completed the upgrade of my N9 64GB Black (North Europe) in the Netherlands to PR 1.3 via OTA. Everything seems fine up to now. Twitter & Facebook acts normal.

Thank you Meego - Harmattan team!!

Since i've installed pr 1.3 the app "Call connected vibration" does'nt work anymore... the phone vibrate BEFORE the answer, when simply the line is free... anyone noticed this behaviour?

Still no Notification for me here in Washington DC. I have maniuplated with the PR1.2 on my device (open mode and all) would that stop the upgrade notification? My current firmware version is 30.2012.07-1_PR_005

I don't think that would make a difference, I had Inception installed on pr 1.2. I still received the upgrade notification, but was warned that Inception is not compatible via a pop-up window. I'd say since I received the OTA upgrade today, yours should be today also, same region and all.

I have try all with phenix to change product code but it didn't work, i allmost breake my n9, i had to use fllasher to do dhe job, so you can do flashing your device without changing product code.

While I generally agree with you, let me just put in perspective that I have an iPhone 4 for longer than the N9, at the same price with a quarter of the memory/storage, which received only 1 major upgrade (where they added one or two UI things), as opposed to the N9 which received 3 (PR1.1 almost immediatelly, 1.2 and 1.3).

Just thought I'd mention it :-)

Can I backup my applications with Nokia Suite, then load new PR1.3 with Nokia Suite, then restore (from backup) the applications?

I see a lot of posts about waiting for OTA to avoid losing apps and stuff, but I can't see why a backup/restore of data/applications would not solve that issue
