It was intended as a C-Series device targetted towards young women. Some early N9 prototypes have C0 written on them, not N0. Probably what is now the N950 was intended to become the first N-Series Harmattan device.
But then, rumour has it that the N8 was intended to become the first Harmattan device, but Harmattan didn't make it in time.

There's so many bug-fixes & features needed, they need the time.
1.1 came out quickly, I don't mind if this one's not rolling till April.
Or release on 29th & take more time with 1.3, & make it even more feature-focused.
They've said it'll be more feature-focused than is typical, & will come soon after 1.2.
still prefer them to release early and often (read: small releases) instead of releasing a massive update that is aimed to fixed everything and bring out more problems :/

True after you use a few exploits to root them,flash them with the latest cyanagen mod, and then remove half the apps so it wont kill your battery and then pray to the almighty Shiva that it will last for more than 6 hours. Or you could just wait for Samsung to give you the updates .... oh wait they don't. iOS and WP are too easy I'm not even gonna try

samsung galaxy note battary time is much better than N9. Even with the big screen :D The capacity is almost twice the size of the n9 and your statment makes me laugh even more. Just try the note!

I wish that the font would be bolder and larger. Some places like on the feed screen, I found that the font is small and thin, so I have to stare for a while. If the text is larger then I just take a glance at it. Much more easier.

I have them both(lost the n9 on the road) and the battary is much better. Why don't you try for yourself. How do you know so much when you don't use all of the ecosystem. You can't trust everything on the blogs and mobile sites.

Oh yeah, I'd definitely greatly prefer that...
I tried to convince them of doing a small bug-fix focused release after 1.1.
But the guy just said his boss didn't respond.
Mustn't have been trying too hard... :rolleyes:
Have to remember that about 70% of the original team have left now.
They're doing the best they can with the limited resources they have :(

You link to a article/s that compares usage patterns/drain for the two phones in question.

But anyway who cares, it has noting to do with this thread.
It's weird because you were originally one of the most hard-core fanboys.
I recall you in many threads emotionally coming to the N9's defense.
Even in instances when it most probably was indefensible.

It's clear you don't like the N9 any more, you've made that crystal clear.
So, why stir up trouble for people that are still interested?
Move on, enjoy your new phone/s....

I think it may be more to do with improving certain languages fonts rather than overall readability.

It's irrelevant if you really do have the N9 & Note, & the Note's better for you.
Why?
Because the test these guys do are based on a normalized usage pattern.

They can't accommodate for every individuals usage pattern, so they devise an avg.
This gives a result that the typical user can expect on avg...
This is a more fair result, but of course is not conclusive for everyone.
So, it seems the N9 does just as well, & that's on buggy as all hell PR1.0.
Whereas the Note here was using rock-solid Gingerbread+...

So I flashed my Norwegian N9 that I got from Nokia @ Qt Dev Days to a german variant 059K0Z2 without changing the product code back then. Now I wanted to do both and change to a product code that got PR1.2 via OTA. I am stuck at reflashing to those variants who have PR_LEGACY_ lower than 009. It's regarded a downgrade and doesn't let me do it. But there's not 009 variant out there that already has 1.2. Am I forced to wait now!? Screw Nokia's FiRe after FOTA policy. :-/
