Anyway, for the record.

Most desired for me:

A-15 SoC.
(1280x) 720 or greater screen.

Really want:

Removable battery
Hardware keyboard

Slim design (not wider than N9) so it can remain a pocket handset. More powerful CPU (with several cores?) and GPU which are the sore spots for N9 (memory wise it's not so bad). Keyboard (preferably better than on N950, with better support for commonly used characters and terminal keys as much as reasonably possible).

Given that this can probably be priced as an enthusiast's device, I'd want:

1080p OLED (or whatever the cool kids have these days...)
HDMI out
Hardware keyboard
Fast processor (ARM. Tegra 3 is fine, probably)
>1GB RAM
ability to make phone calls

I think I would buy one of those in the $500-600 range without too much thought.

Most desired for me:
* N900 successor
* with OLED display (720p not more!)
* 1GB Ram (shoud be enough but there may be 2 version with 1GB and with more) <-- maybe better to offer choice.
* HDMI Out
* Removeable battery (ofcorse!)

What I'll like to see kept from the N900:
* FM Tx
* Ir
* keyboard!

You're still listing the Snapdragon S4 as an A-15 when in fact it's a modified A9, and will be much slower than A-15 designs ...

A true N900 successor is all I want and it seems many agree on the specs, eventhough its just a wish list. I think its greate that jolla is picking up where meego was left. Anything with an open OS and a keyboard will make me smile :)

You know... all Jolla needs to do is update the N950 with a faster processor, a better/bigger screen and keep the same keyboard and build quality.

I was agreeing with you up to that bit :) The N900 has a much nicer keyboard and I don't think the ultra-stiff N950 keyboard mechanism would be acceptable to the general paying public. And things like the rubber doored sim card slot on the N950 are just horrible. From what I've seen of it, the N9 is a nicer design all round and for a sliding keyboard a sleeker N900 would be hard to beat :)

Has it been said anywhere that Jolla will also be designing their own handsets, or focusing more on the OS/UI experience and relying more on OEM handset parts from partners?
