MfE Replacement
 

Has anyone looked at replacing/updating MfE yet?

I've been looking over the Android source for EAS a bit this morning to get an idea for the processing involved in handling the connection/authentication etc. to see how portable the code would be. For the most part the header structure seems to be understandable and could be reimplemented using the python httplib module quite easily. Before going into it any further I wanted to ask if anyone has looked into this or any alternatives already.

Reason for looking at it is the recent hotmail/live/outlook.com change that should enable protocol version 14, which would allow html email to be displayed correctly.
