X terminal error!!!please help!
 

When I'm trying to execute a code always massage comes,

E:could not open lock file /var/lib/dpkg/lock-open(13 permission denied)
E:Unable to lock administration directory (/var/lib/dpkg/), are you sure?

What I should do for this? Please tell me step by step

rm /var/lib/dpkg/lock

Be careful with it, you shouldn't do it but I do it every time and haven't broken anything. Just a warning.

If you want help your going to need to give all the information exactly.

I am guessing your app man is running in the background or something.

Your not explaining what you are trying to do in your posts, so it's really hard to help.

Either you are trying this apt-get or dpkg while you are not have the rights of root - Do you have rootsh installed? - Or HildonApplicationManager is running, this might even run unnoticed in the background.

Do NOT remove the lock file! Wait a couple of minutes or try to reboot to have backgrounding processes terminated.
