Quote:
Navifirm is used on the gsm comunity to get all the flash files for nokias, as you could see as it opens and dumps a list from nokia care. Those are files that the oficial nokia generic flasher, phoenix, uses. You only need the familiar files. |
Re: N900 not booting
only the combined image would flash and no luck still the same,
can i use phoenix? |

There is this discussion related to N9 and Phoenix. Instead, you have to create a RX-51 directory on the c:\Program FIles\Nokia\Phoenix\Products folder (yours should be c:\program files (x86)\...). More about Phoenix its with you cause its a proprietary and not public program, that is available via Gsearch but cracked. |
Re: N900 not booting
quick advice: do NOT coldflash, since that is not root of your problems and won't fix anything.
Sorry short on time today, just a recommendations: read http://wiki.maemo.org/Updating_the_tablet_firmware THREE times, with 2h chillout break in between. It really has all, though scattered all over the place. more tomorrow /j |

Re: N900 not booting
@RobertHall,
Do as @joerg_rw says above. I would suggest you reflash again the fiasco image, and post here the exact output of the flashing session. If you're N900 gets stuck while booting, it is at least booting :), meaning you have the bootloader in place. Forget cold flashing. |
Re: N900 not booting
@reinob interesting thing, LATEST versions of emmc and fiasco do not flash at all.

Re: N900 not booting
Looks like your files are corrupted?
Could you post the output of "DIR" run on your C:\Program files (x86)\maemo\flasher-3.5? I happen to have those images here at work (hopefully correctly downloaded, but this is unconfirmed). COMBINED is 200 174 197 bytes, and VANILLA is 262 090 105 bytes The actual size on disk may and will actually differ from the above. That is not a problem. |
Re: N900 not booting
whatever the issue is with my phone is on the emmc. (which will not flash) I have my device in rd mode (but no info is showing) bright white screen and nokia logo usb icon top right.
the last time info showed up it stated hw revision 2101 and "no initfs \o/ (not showing any info now) everytime i try to flash the emmc the phone disconnects immediately, and even pulling the cable and restarting does nothing. but it is clear i need the emmc flashed |
