As the above title says. I don't know what exactly caused it, but I need help.

/tmp is a RAM disk!

As rash.m2k says. A few more suggestions are here:

http://wiki.maemo.org/Free_up_rootfs_space

Handle with care, some of the steps can be risky.

Open xterm, become root, go to the root directory ("cd /") and run "du -xh -d1 /"

This will list how much space each first-level directory is taking. Then we take it from there.

You didn't play with Nitdroid did you?

I was playing with NITDroid. I have installed successfully in the past. This time I was trying to install it using uboot as opposed to the previous way of using multiboot.

MEKKKK ALARM ALARM !!!!

WTF do you have in the /root folder? That's the "home" folder for the root user, and is not under /home but part of the rootfs.

Since you should not be logged as root normally I don't think it makes sense to store root's "private" stuff in /root. Just put your files somewhere else.

Recommendation:
become root, cd /root, and then try to (re)move whatever bigger files are clearly not necessary. If in doubt, you can run "du -h" from /root and post the output here (I assume you don't store your p0rn in /root).

Answer: Don't know what you mean exactly.

Hello,

If i understand well form you post above, you have only one folder named "and" in your root folder which take a lot of space.

I would suggest to delete or move it.

From the name i think this is related to nitroid so not necessary for maemo and as said before, nothing should be stored in the root folder.

EDIT: I checked on my n900 and do not have this folder. I then assume you can delete it without worry. But i never used nitdroid before and do not know what the deletion will do on youd nitdroid install.

+1

For a moment I thought when writing my previous reply about writing that the suggestion that you had been playing with Nitdroid was off-mark. Glad I didn't :)

Yes, remove that folder.
# rm -rf /root/and

[ Thanks @pichlo, well spotted! :]

Even though I have no experience with Nitdroid, nor do I wish to have any, I cannot believe that it requires storing stuff in the home folder of the Maemo root user. Nevertheless, if removing the folder causes problems with Nitdroid I suggest you go and complain to the Nitdroid people.

I used filebox and there is no /and folder.

I was wrong, there is. I didn't look properly.

Opened xterminal and became root. I did that command but still 100% in use.

There was an extra dot in his instructions. Try again.
