Yes but for what I'm able to read from the blured text at the top, it shows v2 or something. But I dońt know, maybe itīs just a version number given by Nokia...

If this is the case then it doesn't seem so interesting... Maybe the build on N950's phone has been modified by Nokia to be optimized for the OS, in which case it is far more interesting. Otherwise itīs just an old version with the old FF UI...

Asking Nokia for the sources they used to build it is possible ? Is there not a license rule that force them to hand them out if asked ?

Why would they optimize the code for a prototype? It would make very little sense, especially since they have their own browser.
I'm fairly certain this is the exact same tarball that my link has.

I'd bet it's a different binary - it looks like they've themed it for one thing. Probably did optimise it as well, if for this pre-Harmattan UI it was going to be the primary browser. And included plugins for presumably MircoB-a-like functionality, though they wouldn't affect the main binary.

Heaven knows why they decided to drop Firefox and make Grob from scratch for the Harmattan UI. Tabs, settings etc. too complicated? Side-slide UI contrasted too much with systemwide Swipe UI? Eat-your-own-dogfoot Qt mentality? Feels like a good way to waste time if Firefox customisation was nearly done?

Anyway, those plugins might be quite good if they can be installed on a current (15+) Fennec.

Also I'm glad they commissioned Nokia Pure. Nokia Sans feels like an (unwelcome) blast from the past!

I don't need that tarball but please give it out to our CSSU devs. It might contain useful info as this looks closer to maemo5 than final harmattan.

Also whoever gets it I implore you to extract the virtual mouse plugin and test it on fennec.

zippyshare.com allows 200MB files, you only need to split it in two.

Most likely because iOS and Android use Webkit browsers and unless Nokia did the same most mobile sites would break. Webkit is becoming the new IE6...

apt-get not working due to missing file /etc/apt/auth
seems that original owner removed it before selling...
so we are unable to install/reinstall/download any parts from nokia apt repository

In that case it may be better to backup the actual mmcblk0pX or mtd block device and attempt to find the file's data.
