My win 8 laptop never connects to the hotsopt N9 created. This only happens on Win8.

Dispite win 8 says it can connect to ad hoc.

Still no fix.

You can "connect", but there is no internet. Tried with different win8 laptops, neither works, but works with same laptop (before) in win7. MS probably did some silly restrictions on win8.

Of course I googled for it. It is not applicable to this situation. My windows 8 CAN connect to wifi but apart from N9 hotspot. In fact it can connect with BB10's hotspot. So N9 side it has problem as well.

I appreciate your help, but remember not everyone ask question here haven't googled for answers.

So was a sol'n to this ever found, Win7 works but supposedly Win8's still problematic w/ad-hoc, how to get around that?

Also, can anyone point to a sol'n for OSX, having some issues with that, surely ad-hoc support is built-in or available via 3rd-party sw?

N9's hotspot doesnt is not visible on android and windows phone but visible on ios, windows 8 pc and symbian.. Anyone facing this issue???

It's probably because they don't support ad-hoc "out of the box"...
According to this thread even Win8 doesn't work, it's visible, but it doesn't actually work.
