The transitions.ini file in this system does not have all the expected options
If I click the CSSU Features icon, I get the following warning:
Warning: the transitions.ini file in this system does not have all the expected options. (plus a warning about how things may go wrong) with the following options: -Fix Config -Restore Default -Exit What should I do here if I want to access the settings? What's the reason that led to this in the first place? |

Can you pastebin or post the contains of it. Also please check out the wiki page for it. http://wiki.maemo.org/Community_SSU/...hildon-desktop http://wiki.maemo.org/Community_SSU/...roken_packages The wiki page contains the default values if you wish to repair by hand. I have known trying to restore the file but the backup was also damaged. |
Re: The transitions.ini file in this system does not have all the expected options
Seems I have two prior backups of transitions.ini in /usr/share/hildon-desktop (one is the default one, at least that's what it says, and one is from pre-CSSU era). They're both 6 or 7 kB, while the actual one is around 2 kB.
Anyhow, here's the transitions.ini: Quote:

Re: The transitions.ini file in this system does not have all the expected options
So I guess you have used theme-customizer or Maemodder etc. in the past?
The only thing that looks wrong is the [launcher] section is in the wrong place, and a couple of missing thp_tweaks. However this even with the above fixed it is not a "stock" file, due to custom tile font and snap_grid value So do you have a transitions.ini or only transitions.ini.default and .precssu? |
Re: The transitions.ini file in this system does not have all the expected options
Yes, I have Theme Customizer and I've used it in the past. And yes, there are three files there, as mentioned before: transitions.ini, transitions.ini.default, and transitions.ini.precssu.

Either repair the file manually via wiki page or hopefully the backup/repair will work.

Re: The transitions.ini file in this system does not have all the expected options
Thanks, I'll have a look into the wiki page about the separate settings, and compare with the other two copies.
And what do I do about the "broken" Theme Customizer? That page says "As of version 0.9-80 (not in repo yet), no hildon-home or transition.ini files are replaced in any circumstance)". Mine's 0.9-77. |

Version 0.9-82 is in the The Customizer thread, but currently I am testing some options that do not entirely act as I expect, so better wait for a new version in the meanwhile. As the autobuilder is largely working again, I might upload it there in the future. |
Re: The transitions.ini file in this system does not have all the expected options
So, I tried "Fix Config" first, but it seems none of the transitions files in /usr/share/hildon-desktop was touched. Dialog boxes did mention something about transitions.ini also in theme folder. Where should I look for it? Does this mean transition.ini files from both locations are used together, or just the one in the theme folder?
EDIT: I found /opt/usr/share/themes/windows7/transitions.ini which has the current timestamp. It's a bit different: Code:

I had the same issue. IIRC I made a new transitions.ini with all default values, then copied it to both locations. Then I could use CSSU Features again. I am still not 100% certain what makes the theme transitions.ini file but the ones I have seen are normally broken and missing parts. When I get time I will copy the complete stock file into a wiki page. |
