Yes, development is ongoing. Currently quite busy with other projects but the goal is to add a new release in about 3 weeks with:
- Support for BT HRM (ZephyrHxm, Polar Wearlink/H1/H2 and ST
- Voice feedback
- New activity icons

Ok, I currently don't have a HRM but I'm looking to buy one.
I was thinking about buying the polar-H7 (great offer atm on amazon) so will it be compatible or only H1/H2 ?

Unfortunately not, because the N9 does not properly support Bluetooth 4.0...

By the way Meerun is a very good application I really like:

-lock screen (showing the kilometres)
-power consumption
-precision (higher than ST)
-offline maps (no too easy though)

I really hope you are going to improve some functions like:

-Pauses (there is an option but only for "manual pauses". I hope to see autopauses)
-instant speed is missing (hopefully it could be added in the lockscreen aswell :) )
-altimeter (you have already discussed it but I'm still missing it (gps would do for me))

PS: there is a little visual glitch in "Activity Settings" an "Select activity": the list goes over the title of the menu

The latest versions of MeeRun on Symbian phones and on N9 already have the GPS based altitude info, the same functionality than Sports Tracker has.

I really like MeeRun, too. The UI is very pleasant. When the planned features on the roadmap will be ready, MeeRun will be a serious competitor or maybe better than many other sports tracking applications I think.

Hum, I should normally have the latest version of Meerun but I don't have the altimeter. (I'm using a Nokia N9)
I'm talking about the altitude not the speed.

Altitude data is added in the gpx file but it can't be displayed in the app. You can se the altitude for example uploading the gpx in the Sports Tracker website or opening it in google earth ;)

Aaaaa ok, yes you are right the gpx file does save the altitude.
I though that you meant the last version of Meerun was showing the altitude.
I think the developer its quite against it because the GPS altimeter accuracy is not that good.

Still no change, the new release is planned and will include, besides a few bug fixes, support for HRM, audio-feedback and some visual improvements. It will take a few weeks, though, but it should be worth ;)

Quick question: does MeeRun read offline maps from where modrana places them (~/MyDocs/.maps/[map e.g., OpenStreetMap I])?

If not, would a symlink from the modrana directory to the zoom files do?

I do not know the format used by modrana but using a few symlinks should be enough.

Only because I just got a Pebble and asked it in that thread, I'll ask it here - any integration planned between MeeRun and Rocke****ch?

Thinking of:
- MeeRun grabbing pedometer, pace, etc. data from Pebble and displaying it in app
- MeeRun pushing stats to watch (update freq would be a question here)
- possible MeeRun themed watchface that has such status data
- if MeeRun and Rocke****ch running and connected to Pebble, put N9 into a power saving mode, but maintaining connection; silencing sounds (pushing that notification to watch; on watch: turn on vibration).

Just thoughts... keeping an eye on several interactions and what the N9 does to mature as we do. Kind of neat to think about what can happen when apps and services work together - even on a platform that's no longer as supported as it is loved.

As far as I know, it will not be possible to support it with the N9 because it uses Bluetooth 4 :(

Hi,

MeeRun looking very good alternative to ST. If HR belts support is coming, I migth buy this app. Does it have audio feedback for HR limits? And indoor mode would be nice, just for getting HR, elapsed time and calories burned, no gps data recorded. Step counter woud be nice too. Cheers!

HR zone changes will be reported with audio feedback. Recording works without GPS (for indoors trainings) but calories burned and step counter are not yet supported.

Would it be possible for MeeRun to connect to the Pebble thru Rocke****ch to do so?

Here's my thinking as to how this would work:
- MeeRun and Rocke****ch in the background
- no activity being run in MeeRun
- MeeRun provokes RW to query Pebble at 4 hour intervals
- downloads step data from watch thru RW API to MeeRun

I made that sound way too easy. But, that's essentially what I'm thinking. And (per the RW thread), there's a possibiltiy of some API play with other apps. This would make sense towards getting MeeRun to work alongside wearables.

Just a thought (from a guy considering getting a 2nd Pebble for some reason)

I flashed my N9 and reinstalled Meerun. Today I used it again and I have a problem: my routine was saved correctly, but the summary registered 0 km.

Is there any way to correct it?

Can you please send the .mrgpx (in the .MeeRun/Trainings directory) using the support e-mail address? There might be an issue with the file.

You can also try to re-apply the filter settings. I have just tried it and it works fine with the new version (1.3.0), I am not sure if it is because of the latest bug fixes, though :)

Any recommended way to upgrade MeeRun from OVI Store to the one in OpenRepos? Perhaps uninstall+enable repo+install from OpenRepos?

I just went to Warehouse, enabled meerun repo and installed from there. Openrepos repos now have same priority as OVI store, so it updated directly without the need to manually remove the old one first.
