bricked N9 - flashable?
Hi,
I'm thinking about buying a bricked N9 from ebay. Seller says a message appeared that "foreign software was detected that potentially could harm the device" or similar. He says he then "tried to update the original Software" unsuccessfully and the phone turned off and since then he can't power it on anymore. This is all the information I have. My questions: - Would you buy such a bricked device? - Does the "foreign software detected" sound familiar to you? - What are the chances it is still flashable? Auction closes soon, some quick answers are highly appreciated! Many thanks. |
Re: bricked N9 - flashable?
The foreign software sounds suspicious... It could be a KIRF-N9 with Java or something too...
If its genuine and powered off it could just be a device with no power left... |
Re: bricked N9 - flashable?
Many thanks thedead!
Seller says the phone comes in original box with all original accessories. I don't think it's a fake one, but I'm unshure if it's still flashable. E: From the photos, it looks original. |
Re: bricked N9 - flashable?
If its a real device except for CAL area having been messed around (unlikely) or the EMMC chip being borked (likely) you can most probably recover the device...
Eventually its up to you; if you think its a risk worth taking go for it ;) |
