You can view the ID if you log into the "My Orders" page (Link on the bottom of jolla.com) the ID is above the Shipping/Billing Address (for me at least).

A Question about the Addresses:

Did anyone change the Delivery Adress through jolla care, and if, how long did it take for the change to be shown in "My Orders"? I ask because I changed the Shipping Address to my Work Address and got a confirmation this morning from Jolla Care that it will be changend, but the "My Orders" still shows the old address.

Allright, I never thought that there'd actually be 2 different logins to Jolla, the account and the orders... Why shouldn't there be just one account with the orders details under it? strange...

As for the order number, yes, mine is also very different, just a string of 12 random hex characters. I also think that it is just a hash of the actual order ID, no way to convert it back to anything meaningful.

I did order fairly early, around 12:02 Helsinki time. I got my account, paid and received a confirmation of the dough I spilled on the device but never got any other mail after that until the invitation last week.

If you click https://join.jolla.com/en/profile, you should be able to log in (usual username and password) and enter a page where you have order id. The link is actually at the bottom of the jolla.com website (see 'my orders').
However I am not sure we should disclose order numbers... I am too afraid someone will use mine and receive MY JOLLA :)

EDIT: too late. That is what happened when you read tmo at work...

Yes, I had it changed already and it shows on the order status page. Should not take more than a couple of days.
Can't tell you the exact amount of days / hrs.
If it takes too long, just send them a reminder before they start shipping end of this month.

It's not in any email, you have to check the "My oders" section on Jolla.com.

[Edit] Wow, missed a few messages, sorry. Forgot to refresh before replying. :D

Oh, and I asked care@jolla.com to change my delivery address twice. It took 1-2 days each time.

Love that jolla built the harbour so you can't logout with iPad. Once in the maze you will never get out ;)

Anyone else is going to avoid reviews of the phone? I really don't want to know everything about the UI, I want to discover it myself.

It's like opening a present when you don't know what's inside, I feel the same way. I want to be surprised.

The launch party is on 27 November at Narinkka Square in Helsinki, Finland, where DNA will setup a pop-up store and deliver the world’s first pre-ordered Jolla. At the event a total of 450 Jollas will be sold to customers who have pre-ordered their phones in the first pre-booking campaign. At the same time, we will start mail deliveries in the order of pre-bookings.

if jolla take the piss with releasing the device to the UK can they just hurry up and release Sailfish, but am lacking here, is Sailfish the OS and the Android compatibility layer? Since otherwise it would be pretty useless to manufactures.

Depends what you are asking, look at 'it' means what?

But if your asking that can you run most of the normal android apk's on Jolla-device without knowing whats under the hood, then yes.

Currently it runs on Jolla devices only.

However if you are device manufacturer who plans to use Sailfish OS on their devices, then there most likely are licensing options available.

You would have access to free Sailfish OS, but would not have (at least in any legal way) access to any kind of proprietary post installable services like Here, compatibility layer etc.
