The yellow text on white background on the quick user guide is making me blind.

Two weird things with that video. First, I closed the tab, but the sound continues to reproduce. Second, the moustache guy at the bar looks like young John Malkovich.

The user guide shows way lower talk time / battery values, compared to the values on the jolla homepage.

Talk time & battery
7.7 / 5.5 hours (GSM / 3G approx.) User-replaceable battery

But the new figures are definately at least bit wrong. Battery won't last longer on 3G mode than GSM.

According to user guide, there is no more Jolla Other Half, instead it is Jolla Ambience Other Half. Sorta dissapointed at this moment, but I really hope the enthusiasts and the community will come up with something more breathtaking. I myself would start to develop couple of those, if only I had the full schematics of TOH.

Cool, thanks, I never expected Jolla to actually do it. Camera lens would be a challenge at the very least, but it isn't like we won't get other halves that only do content+colour.

jalyst: I wouldn't give up on TOH just yet - some stuff surely has been said in the event, but I'd wait for it to be properly reported and confirmed by Jolla.

Personally, I love the concept, but I grew a bit worried as time went by in terms of camera lens blockage and device continuity (further devices will have a different shape).

They've got zero chance to get traction if they don't have a compelling TOH story to sell, that was their only "ace", without it they simply aren't compelling enough.
Unique UX is nowhere near enough, & they can't even really claim to be "more open" (in some respects at least)...

Well, opinions are opinions and I respect yours, but I still beg to disagree :). I think they've got a chance and will be also compelling in oteher aspects if not in TOH aspect (currently). :)

You're entitled to believe they'll still be successful, I highly doubt they can without some strong/compelling differentiators, they don't have them yet, far from it sadly.
To be clearer, I'm sure I'Il find many aspects that are compelling "to me", but they're not the same things that will result in mainstream success "longer-term".

First short & quick review article from Helsingin Sanomat.

Positive: Fast browser, good multitasking, light (weight), Other Half, new fresh OS, and they really like the look and industrial design.

Negative: No zoom in camera, horizontal use only in camera mode, touch controls buggy on web browser.

Those negatives are really suprising. Wonder if its a.) idiot journalist or b.) the OS more of a beta than I thought.
