Watch out, Nokia will now be sued by Apple for stealing their design too :-)

Re: meet the *used* iOS 7
Are their ripping off WebOS multitasking or what LOL?
|
Re: meet the *used* iOS 7
Apple is speeding up, I guess.
They used to rip off features from other vendors and present them as own innovations, about an year or two later than the original was seen on devices. Now they have stolen Ambience from Jolla before the device has been launched... |
Re: meet the *used* iOS 7
The hordes of stupid iFans starting to praise it as the most innovative OS ... in 3, 2, 1.....
|
Re: meet the *used* iOS 7
Indeed, reminds me of MIUI. Not bad, but still iOS. Maybe Jolla can take advantage of they 'new' features :P :D

Re: meet the *used* iOS 7
As usual, the ideas that originated at webOS are dripping down to other operating systems. And no one is more bold in claiming webOS ideas as their own as Microsoft. Cue all those people who buy that propaganda and accuse Apple of copying the original thief, Microsoft.
The first one to copy webOS was Meego/Harmattan (Skillman bringing his ideas with him to Nokia). Then Microsoft who claimed all those things as their own. Unified contact list, card based multitasking (WP don't even has proper multitasking). Then Blackberry with their tablet OS and later with BB10. Android with card UI, but now in vertical form instead horizontal. Yeah, I know, very innovative people at google there. And now, at last, Apple. But they really should have copied the multitasking of Maemo 5, which is still the best. Or even better, combine the Maemo 5 grid view in multitasking with stacked cards from webOS. THAT is the best multitasking view. Edit: Actual, the first one to make a swipe gesture based mobile OS was Neonode. All kinds of swipes there. |
Re: meet the *used* iOS 7
reminds me of sailfish mixed with harmattan. the sad thing is that people will think that apple has a unique interface. :(
also the things that they claim that's "new" are a bunch of popular jailbreak tweaks which has been there for years now. |

Re: meet the *used* iOS 7
First one to post news of Apple suing half a dozen competitors for copying the rounded edges of their "new" UI gets an Eifon 7.

Re: meet the *used* iOS 7
From what I've seen of iOS 7, I'm not impressed. Most of the "improvements" could have been made by the community if they'd been given the tools/apps and permissions to do them.
Can't see the Apple Store staff wetting themselves with glee outside the shops on launch day over this one. |
Re: meet the *used* iOS 7
Wow it took only years until they finally implemented a small controll center with some shortcuts.....
