Re: Porting Sailfish to N9
It feels really pretty much like the real thing, thanks :D
I'm amazed you actually have the haptics there, as I have not upated that to my Nemo yet... BTW, now I have ubiboot w/pentaboot: Harmattan, Nitdroid, Nemo, FirefoxOS and SailfishOS on my device... :D |

Re: Porting Sailfish to N9
Is there some tutorial for flashing with this package?

Re: Porting Sailfish to N9
I followed that guide http://wiki.maemo.org/Ubiboot
But in my case the screen swipe is dogslow(same for nemo) and also screen is offset around 20% means MER background image is shown at left side. I must doing something wrong. hmm EDIT: using latest ubiboot fixed the screen issues :D the link to new ubiboot is found here: http://wiki.maemo.org/OS# someone should update the ubiboot guide with latest release I guess... only replace old link with: http://www.swagman.org/juice/ubiboot...boot-02_040613 and flash using: zImage_2.6.32.54-ubiboot-02_301013 instead of the old version. |
Re: Porting Sailfish to N9
That problem is probably only missing adaptation of init command line
G_OS3_INIT_CMDLINE_APPENDS="vram=6m omapfb.vram=0:6M", which can be done also manually in older ubiboot releases, but is now automatically enabled for Nemo. |

To boot the SailfishOS image, you need the same boot parameters as Nemo, which are default in Ubiboot 0.3.5 (G_OS3_INIT_CMDLINE_APPENDS="vram=6m omapfb.vram=0:6M") You can install it on partition4 (ALT_OS) or create another partition if you want to keep vanilla Nemo on the side. |
Re: Porting Sailfish to N9
I have some strange sounds when tapping on the sailfish (and also some other events). It sounds a bit like waves swooshing ;) or more like static noise.
Is that on purpose? Or only on my device? btw: penta booting via ubiboot, too :D |
Re: Porting Sailfish to N9
It's slow. We need the real deal.
Atleast you can say you are running Sailfish sort of. |
