Re: Porting Sailfish to N9

Code:

The sixth OS is usually SailfishOS.
# This section lists the OS6OS specific switches and kernels
G_OS6_NUM=1
G_OS6_AUTOBOOT=0
G_OS6_PARTITION=4
G_OS6_NAME="Sailfish"
G_OS6_1_LABEL="Default SailfishOS kernel"
G_OS6_1_FILE="/boot/Sailfish/boot/bzImage"
G_OS6_2_LABEL=""
G_OS6_2_FILE=""
G_OS6_3_LABEL=""
G_OS6_3_FILE="

i don t put new kernel line it perhaps the cause of no boot because only compatible with with new no?

This looks OK, provided that you have SFOS on partition 4 (which also is pretty much default)

Can you post your ubiboot.log, that will tell if the kernel was found correctly.

And, what do you have in SFOS /boot? There should be vmlinuz-3.5.3-1.1.1-n950 and bzImage (which is a symlink to the former).

Re: Porting Sailfish to N9

Hi,

I need help:

I have installed ubiboot with moslo 0.0.13.1 tiny.

I have installed firefoxos and nitdroid too.

How can i creat Alt_OS partition without loose all my partitions and files please? I want to keep them.

I want to install SailfishOS on Alt_OS too but i don't have Alt_OS partition.

nb. I can't use this file right? It's not the same as mine for moslo and i will loose all my files?

http://releases.nemomobile.org/snaps...xx.armv7hl.rpm

Thanks in advance

When you create new partitions you need to split one of the existing to two, as usually all the space on your mmcblk0 is allocated already.
Normally on a Harmattan device (N9/N950) you'd use your first partition which is your MyDocs, and split that.

If you have just very little installed on that partition it is probably safe to do just like that, otherwice I suggest you backup it first and then repartition, and finally restore the backup.

Ok but if i put this code:

flasher -k zImage-moslo -n initrd-moslo -l -b

With different moslo version.

Is it dangerous or not? I will keep my file or not?

Thanks

But the problem is:

I already have nitdroid and firefoxos installed with ubiboot tiny moslo.

Now i want to creat Alt_OS with this command line:

flasher -k zImage-moslo -n initrd-moslo -l -b

But if i use different moslo version it will damage my partition or not?

I need to know... because i don't want to loose my files...

Let me know.
