If you read this thread we have pointed to install ubiboot at first:

when ubiboot is working you just copy the files to partition4 who should already be mounted in your linuxbox (when USB connected to your phone and ubiboot mode):

sudo tar --numeric-owner -xvf sailfish*.tar.bz2 -C /media/$USER/Alt_OS

replace $USER with your linux username.

Notice sailfishos for N9 is only for geeks that like to play with stuff.

Actually I think people better try nemo at first before play with sailfishos on your N9.

Sailfish test report on my N9:

vgrade image boots ones but it seems maalit has crashed when I try to connect to my wifi?

That made me shutdown phone (using the button). Second boot my phone I just stuck in black screen?

checking the files /var/log/lastlog(huge file about 28MB?) is and faillog(2MB) is full of garbage(not text binary data?).

Tried format part4 and reinstall sf twice same issue?

Anyone else got same problem?

I used kde partition manager.

not tested mkfs, but I guess mkfs.ext4 /dev/mmcblk0p4 should work too, but dont forget set label to Alt_OS.

Uhm with this image i can't go further than the language selecting menu, than only a black screen... Waiting for a more stable one :)

I'm getting this too. I'm seeing some user services failing that I didn't with my own Nemo upgrade.

The journalctl says something about the password for nemo being expired. Could the bad date be the problem? It resets itself to 1970 at every boot.

Just boot to sailfish second times, stuck at nemo blue splash screen
