@clown9 you clicking at items. You need clicking in header on buttons like "Select language" "Select ambiance" etc.
@milad ghusn this is community forum, we're dont know answer, ask Jolla

now you need an app that shows the time when lpm is on, and set the screen to keep alive when locked, and disable lpm when double-tapped :P

I should think about canceling my Jolla order now.. :D

Re: Porting Sailfish to N9 (or other)

I followed all the instructions on the sailfish wiki for flashing and dual booting, but the problem is once I extracted the sailfish.tar.bz2 I was not able to go into the ubiboot menu, as it went straight to the harmattan. Harmattan works but when I try to put the phone into dev mode for flashing (not terminal, that works), it is not recognized (the flasher doesn't recognize it when i do flasher -i). Any help on reflashing or fixing it? I cannot boot into sailfish atm.

~~~~~ I fixed the problem
Now however, when I restarted from the beginning (reflashed with no preserve, did open mode, booted, everything was stable), the moslo kernel was not able to repartition the device. I get, on the green text screen, and error that says it was not able to repartition. partition not created, and so I cannot boot because it gets stuck on the warning screen for modified OS' (didn't bother to remove it). Any fixes?
Re: Porting Sailfish to N9 (or other)
You need to have 4GB + some extra free space for partitioning to work,
Re: Porting Sailfish to N9 (or other)
I have the 16GB model, is that not enough? And I did this right after a flash, no data on the phone at all except the OS itself.
It's working just fine on my N9 /16GB, just follow instructions on wiki, http://wiki.maemo.org/index.php?titl...allation_Guide.
@Shadwblade2652 what exactly an error message?
When the autipartitioning fails, you can telnet to the device and do it manually so you can see what is the errror message. Check from MOSLO init the command syntax...
Re: Porting Sailfish to N9 (or other)
Hi,
Has someone successfully flashed the N950 with dualboot Sailfish?
I tried the tutorial (http://wiki.maemo.org/index.php?titl...allation_Guide) several times, including complete erase of my N950 but each time after running step " Step 3 - Flash the OpenMode" the device shows an information message (yellow exclamation mark with a message saying that a non standard firmware is installed) followed by a Nokia logo (plain text, no circle around the logo). All I can do then to make it work again is to flash the original firmware on the device again.
The only thing I do different compared to the manual is that I use the N950 firmware instead of the N9 firmware.
Regards,
ignore the warning and wait some seconds more
Re: Porting Sailfish to N9 (or other)
The warning is not the problem (it disappears after a few seconds) but after this I only see the Nokia logo which remains for hours.
[EDIT]: After some reboots I finally got it working.
I had the same problem with re-partitioning and tried several times from beginning, the same problem occurred, finally I completely format device with "flasher -f -F main.bin --erase-user-data=secure -F emmc.bin --erase-mmc=secure" and it solved the problem with re-partitioning- Then just follow with the other steps from wiki (http://wiki.maemo.org/Sailfish#) and succeeded.
Arh! Just the same: Activate command 'Install' start running says 'waiting' and nothing happens.:confused:
Credentials same as login to jolla account - correct?
Does it matter you have release=1.0.2.5
I use same but vgrade r5.1?
Shadwblade2652 2014-01-06 04:02
Re: Porting Sailfish to N9 (or other)
Thanks for all the replies guys.
I used the complete format as suggested by corvinux
Now everything is working.
Also, is there a way to allocate more space from the 16GB to the user? The OS has like 8GB to itself, including apps and whatnot. This really bugs me because I have a 16GB device but I have like 8GB of storage.
Edit:
I installed sailfish by extracting the image but I am unable to boot it. When I select sailfish in the ubiboot menu, it does not work, but when I select harmattan, it runs fine. I get a black screen when selecting sailfish, and I have to force shutdown the phone. Could it have something to do with my partitions? When I connected the phone I didn't see alt_os (I was using a linux VM, so it should have shown up right?).
@Garp you used encoded password form, not plain text, right? :)
@Shadwblade2652 maybe you should wait longer while sailfish loading? :)
No, just open file (Ubuntu Alt_F2) gksu nautilus, deleted content, copy your code and key in user and passw in plain text, saved etc AND checked again!;)
EDIT: OBS! There were no credentials in my original file see attached!
Re: Porting Sailfish to N9 (or other)
@Garp you need to remove Jolla account, reboot, and create it again.
@Shadwblade2652 share /home/user/MyDocs/ubiboot.log
How to get needed root access?
Ok and then don't touch that developer button again :rolleyes: meaning that root access not needed to run zypper ref?
zypper need root access :)
Really :confused: what's missing here?
OK understand don't touch the SSU 'button' ever!
But developer mode you can't setup passw here in Sailfish, only for SSH and SSU!?
"You" meaning in this case the metaphorical "you", not any specific person in this thread.
Nope, that would most likely break your current install of Sailfish, just add it at the end, on a new line.
