Don't ;)
I'm outside right now, In the sun a few meters from the sea. I wish you could see me. :D

I will transfer my Ubuntu funds to a Galaxy note lll or Sony Z Ultra or both, probably buying the new ZTE firefox phone as well, just for fun.

I will continue to support Ubuntu and Jolla or/and everyone else that will try to change the market.

I'm not disappointed. But I will continue to fight...guys like you that wants same old same old :D

A mockup actually, it would be called a dummy if there actually exist a working (prototype) device.

I know I'm nitpicking :D

Re: Ubuntu Edge

Same ol' same ol' to me means something niche.

It means taking people's "unworking" computers and integrating their parts into a computers with lots of hard drives, ram, cables, ports, fans, etc etc.

Having Windows XP crash on it after an illegal copy installation. Then using a 'Nix distro that's still experimental.

Spending days, and weeks to make it work to the best I can. And when I'm satisfied?

It means stop playing with it, and find something else to focus on.
Perhaps comics/anime. Or an interesting TV Show that I'll be wildly addicted to.

Then restarting my "niche love" again by finding something that's interesting and new and getting that.

Whether it be one of those cutting-edge infamous WiMo PDA-Phones. Or OQO MIDs. Or Zaurus Mindfvcks. Or Open Pandoras. Or N900's.

That is "same old" to me.
Now I'm a changed person. Have to pay for myself, working hard. No time to tinker about.
And when I do tinker, its to get my Android phone to behave better, faster, stronger.
That way I can do "Apps" and other sh|t in those 15 minute breaks I find myself accumulating.

Now that you know "guys like me" better, you probably want to change that sentence to make it more accurate, huh?

(my job requires mental capacity, something I can't devote to coding anymore which I never learned professionally only online)

Why is it that every time someone demonstrated more common sense than the US they get the flak for that instead of the kudos?

Samsung Micro-USB-to-HDMI adapter (eleven-pin)
The Samsung Galaxy S III, and later Galaxy Note II and Galaxy S4, use an adapter and Micro-USB socket with six additional connector pins in order to achieve functional improvements over the 5-pin design:
It supports the use of USB and MHL simultaneously. (Note that the new Samsung 11-pin MHL-HDMI adapter also has a USB On-The-Go port).

What we need is an Intel/Linux Haswell based mobile. I've been unable to find any MHL transmitter packages with the bandwidth to do more than 1080p@60Hz, and that just kind of seems limited/lowest common denominator.

As soon as Edge is in my hand, i'd still be looking for an enthusiast, converged device that could drive 2560x1440 at least
