I compiled bill_klpd's source with Thumb2 and fixed little edit mode. All changes in diff file for future updates)
bill_klpd, there is small problem with right column in landscape.
I encourage to restart phone after all instead of killall hildon-desktop.

Not big deal - clicking <2 milimeters from right side of icon doesn't select it.

Hey elros34 do you know how to change the font size of the menu? I have found only how to change the font, but not the size!

I guess it's hardcoded in hildon-desktop e.g. in hd-launcher-tile.c:
tile_font = hd_transition_get_string("task_nav", "tile_font", "Nokia Sans 15");
