Crashes is well know bug in applications from meego but it's easy to rewrite gui without components and all should works good.
If you want there is another gesture application called gestikk (python) but it require pc to modify config.

python-wxgtk2.8 is in extras-devel but it's only for gui. There is one gesture assigned " < "
