The mighty n900 week 2013 (Day 7 of 7)
 
Next week is the n900 week. I want you to ditch all your new phones as a celebration to the mighty n900 during next week.

From Monday 00.01 september 2 to Sunday 11.59 September 8 (Nokia headquarter time) .

I want all who have a n900 charge your phone and join in. I want you to spam this thread with everything you find interesting related to n900 and the use of the device. It will be a revival of the n900 during next week. If you use it as your daily device, even better. Tell us what we can try or what was the last thing you installed.

You have 5 days to charge your phone until the n900 week begins.

Who will join me in this calibration and celebration ?

I recommend those that haven't used there N900's for a while to reflash and install CSSU.
If you wish for that extra bit of speed go CSSU-Thumb.

I wish I could re-flash.
The usb port got of the pcb sadly.
But, I still use it sometimes and not every day because it's unstable (shuts down if the flex ribbon moves too much).
Having said that, I didn't open the N900 and still haven't seen what's the problem.
And I went to check what's the problem but the dumb shop worker said the mainboard was dead.
Well, it's not. :)

My wife is using my SIM, but my N900 is still in use as a (WiFi) VoIP phone using sipgate.com and Google Voice. :D

n900 is my main device since i bought it. and its my device which kept for more than a year. and for the party my phone is already charged and serving me as my daily phone.

I revived my N900 with mugen cover and newly soldered Nokia batteries.I am in eternal love with N900.N9 is a PITA with out a keyboard,though I got one recently.

I found a way to enjoy the N900 week too. While I've never let go of the N900 as my personal portable computer wherever I go, I barely used it as main phone.

(My voice sim didn't have data on it until recently, and the N900 would be wasted without connectivity, so I used a dumber phone along with the N900 at all times)

Now I just put my voice SIM in the N900 and I'll use it as my only device!

To keep with the spirit of this week, I intend to rebuild my n900 back to its former glory after reflashing it the other day.

So I am now wondering if I should take the opportunity to go with Thumb or not? Seems like a good time to do it... How have you guys found thumb, woul you recommend it?

Maybe we could come up with other n900 games and events for this week too? Maybe have a Quake Open Arena online tornement or have our own "I cannot draw for toffee but drew this thing on my phone" thread?

I don't get the toffee thing (never has, must be something cultural) but there is a thread like that. Pity it's been recently take over by two members showing off their creations made on devices other than the N900.

Hm, AIUI, Creativetone is drawings are from N900. In the past, he, sometimes, post-processed in it adobe program on desktop, but for some time, all scraps are raw from N900.

I fixed my N900 yesterday, now working full and proper!
I rebuilt the trackers for Media Player and stuff and am going to school sadly.

So here we go,
i fully charged my secondary-standby Phone (holds with 250-500MHz 14 days+ w/o charger :cool: ) My main phone is also a good old N900.
Maemo FM tuned ON@107.1MHz!

ya buddy thumb is good its more responsive under load microb gets a bit more juice debian also .i am a pretty new user i noticed those:)
