Second print, ABS, no sticker -> hairspray (1layer)

Supporting structure in the middle will fail, did not stick okay, but I am interested in the rest of the structure, so I will see how it goes.

After this one the first print with PVA and if that succeeds than it is time for some nylon!

Also, I will -very probably- start shipping in the first half of march, in order of pre-orders. Can't wait to get your hands on one? Visit the Jolla stand on MWC ;)

That fast? Awesome! How is the OS integration? Might have missed a few posts, wasn't really paying attention as long as the design was still not fixed. The keyboard will be usable without the vkb being onscreen, right? Just asking because I have no idea at all how Sailfish deals with an external KB.

Hey dirkvl - is there any chance we can see a quick video of input from the keyboard being registered on the device itself? Or are you not at that stage yet?

okay, PVA and Nylon -which should be the best and final combo- is (fast-)printing right now! fingers crossed and update with pictures this evening!

friday i get all the pcb's, then you guys are the first to see a working keyboard!

My brain just tilted. It would be so cool if this thing spits out a nicely fitting QWERTOH and the electronics works.
I hope the build quality also is acceptable.
On the video it looked just fine.

okay, time for some updates:

-printing with nylon s*cks
-printing with ABS s*cks
-printing with PLA is awesome!
-PLA parts feel very sturdy and nice surface quality
-printing one keyboard -two parts- takes 6 hours on my 3d printer
-PCB's are delivered friday, so friday/saturday new video and pics
-I am going to MWC!
