I noticed profile pictures are not syncing properly. It shows old pictures of contact not the latest. I did sync contacts...still..

@praveenchand phonebook sync not refreshing pictures. You need to refresh each contact to get new pictures.

Codetus, can you tel me please, what command to shutdown persecute (like on button) ?
I use ProfileMatic with idle profile when after 30min it activate PSM and kill persecute, but it not enough, because persecute probably continue trying to connect and it eating my battery drastically.

If my application working bad i prefer to fix it, than publishing workarounds for temporary applying КОСТЫЛИ И ВЕЛОСИПЕДЫ to application.
Is your problem appear when phone in offline mode?

OK, it worked. Is that possible to refresh all contacts at once? If possible then please consider this with low priority.

Great....both welcome features for me. But search is too slow. First time am seeing 'persecute2 not responding' msg, with this version. When loading first time and while search. With search it seems issue is the default mode is 'suggest word'. So while we type it try to suggest word which makes it unresponsive. This is my assumption.
Now if you give me a script to show status in billboard am happy ;-)

Sorry, but I deleted log file. I will try to reproduce it and after this will send you this log. And now I'll explain how it was. The full story:
1. 01.00 charging finished
2. 01:30 ProfileMatic do some actions: closed internet connection + closed background connection + activated PSM + killall fenix grob operamobile percecute2
That mean only whatsapp server runs in backgrounds (as far as I understand).
3. 06:45 ProfileMatic: exited from PSM + opened internet and background connections + opened 3 grob windows + opened fenix.
4. Used it a little bit. When screen closed and idle for 1 min, the profilematic checked if persecute2 opened or not. When I openthe screen again, if persecute not runs, the profilematic will open it.
Started to use persecute a little bit.
5. 08:30 I went for surgery and left my phone as is. The battery percentage was around 85%.
6. After 30min profilematic put my phone to idle mode: closed internet connection + closed background connection + activated PSM + killall fenix grob operamobile percecute2
That mean only whatsapp server runs in backgrounds (as far as I understand).
7. After something like 4-5 hours I finished my work and took the phone to my hands, I noticed that my phone switched himself off. It just was eating my battery.
8. Charged my phone a little bit and switched him on.

Why my battery killed from 85% to zero I don't understand, but only whatsapp server runs in background.
This is a story..

PS. Yep, the search option in the new version have big delay..

@Schturman checked. no battery consumption in daemon. you can use killall whatsapp-server in your script.

if u gonna fix the 24h online thing than please keep a option to enable it it again :) it would be alsoe nice to have some options like stying offline but beeing able to read msgs or stuff like that :) would be really nice

the newer the versions are, the more idle consumption i have...version 0.3.17 is almost useless for daily using. 80mA idle, the phone gets warm at standby :(

in version 0.1.12 my idle consumption was under 15mA

Hi coderus, do u test ur latest persecute version with the last unstable fastern9?. Not sure what happen to my n9 sometime msg box persecute not responding appear and then crash after installing fastern9 last unstable. Revert back to stable version everything is fine.

thanks for the update.
one suggestion, "Remove all messages" option has no further(re) confirmation. if we click this option accidentally then all messages will be deleted immediately.

Would like to try Persecute on Sailfish as it was linked in the Sailfish thread to run on the Jolla Phone. But I'm wondering how to run it.
Sailfish uses .rpm not .deb as Persecute is available in.
Any directions and how to are appreciated :)

select options (right bottom)-> scroll down for more options then you will see "Account". Click on nick name to edit it.

@coderus, one thing i noticed, suppose if we send a message to a contact who is offline then we will see light green indicator which i understand says delivered to server. Once contact receives message it turns into dark green indicating message delivered. But before the other contact receives message if we quit persecute, then come back after the message is delivered to contact then the Color still stays as light green, forever. So in reality we will not know if the message successfully delivered.
Also how will we know if a message is not reached the server? Some color indicator like in other clients(red?).
