Re: Jolla tracking numbers
OMG
Just received tracking number!!! |
Re: Jolla tracking numbers
Thanks to the fedex tracking reference I can now see it was delivered to a house other than the one the driver told me it had been on the phone.
I hope I can get it from that neighbour as they're complete twunts. :( |
Re: Jolla tracking numbers
Hmm got my tracking number, but it seems like my package is being delivered to a address that I changed with Jolla via email.
That's no good. |
Re: Jolla tracking numbers
i though OH stood for Other Half, not Other House!
nightmare, hope you retrieve it from the neighborly twunts :p Quote:

Re: Jolla tracking numbers
It seems Jolla just sent a wave of shipment emails to customers, got mine too (after delivery attempt :<).
The tracking number is messed up too, it seems converted to E+X number and so only the first 6 digits are right. Just called FedEx, will try to pick the parcel up tonight. If you are in the same situation, and in France, you'd better call them because if you don't, then your parcel might not be available for pick up. They probably put parcels in a different room if customers intend to pick them up instead of waiting for a second delivery attempt. You will need the full tracking number. You gan get the FedEx proper tracking number by tracking your parcel using the Jolla order number as described in a previous page, the FedEx tracking number will be written below the history. |
Re: Jolla tracking numbers
And I got the shipment email - and a hilarious WTF on the tracking number:

Re: Jolla tracking numbers
I have also just received the email with the tracking info, around 4hrs after delivery. Checked the Jolla store and my order has now updated to shipped.

Re: Jolla tracking numbers
I just got a package from Finland delivered ;)
So Order No #838 in Germany is now shipped too :) |
Re: Jolla tracking numbers
Good to hear phones are arriving and looking up FedEx reference number is a great deal - can be quiet important to know when you or someone should be home to receive it.
Mine is still in "Paid" but my order number is very close to the ones being "in Picking". It seems that since Thursday nothing has changed... Well, I don't feel like "The first one" anymore, but it's indeed great to hear that many Jolla's are being shipped to some lucky buyers :) Good of Jolla to chose FedEx since the delivery seems to be incredibly fast. |
Re: Jolla tracking numbers
Same Story: Jolla.com = paid; just received an E-Mail with tracking number; checked the tracking --> got it already delivered today :))
|
Re: Jolla tracking numbers
Its seems like they had worked like crazy to deliver and alot of stuff is done manually.
So no point rant instead go to fedex page as someone already said in this thread and select track by reference and input your orderid and country/postage. All who has "picking" will probadly get some kind of status. In my case its till in finland but registered. So my guess is it will be shipped this week hopefully tonight and then hopefully I can contact FedeX to send it to my work... Anyway, everybody should understand that they work already alot more than they should to get the device delivered. I am almost sure they had payed alot more for shipment than what they had expected at the beginning. Just to make sure as many as possible get the device to christmas. |
Re: Jolla tracking numbers
I just got an email from Jolla answering a question I made about the shipping status 6 days ago. The answer I got was only a copy-paste from the FAQs.
Really Jolla? Really? Do you think we are like the brainless ones that just buy the phone for playing Angry Birds? I am really frustrated about the communication policy of Jolla. Really #unlike. #unlike how it should be. |

I don't, because there is currently no company with the same core business (Tizen/Samsung is clearly not production-ready yet). Yes, they should improve communication, but just remember first version of Android, and consider that they had all the human and financial power of Google behind it. Despite the resources, Android as OS sucked for the first 2 years. Jolla is clearly making mistakes on the selling part. However it is also something they can quickly and easily fix in a near future. |

Information is always helpful. So thank you to whomever noted the FedEx order reference tip, I wish it had come from Jolla, but nevertheless it was helpful. Quote:

In reality, better communications is a decision from them. Nothing more. It would take mere minutes once every or every other day by one Jolla employee. One. Jolla has decided not to report specifics. It is a choice, not time restraint. I repeat my suggestion to Jolla's Twitter, how would the response been if these kinds of single daily tweets would have come - already from the moment they were starting to face issues: Monday: 55% of all pre-orders are now out! Tuesday: Hit 70% today, making up for lost time! Yay! Wednesday: 90%, the homerun is opening! Thursday: All Jolla pre-orders have been mailed! Happy Holidays to all the sailors! In reality, time needed mere minutes for a quick check with the shipping people and formulating a upbeat but informative tweet each day, or every other day if better. Or some other communications solution similar to this. This is definitely not the only realistic idea that would have kept the community in the loop and helped goodwill/understanding and overall the wait. |
Re: Jolla tracking numbers
Well, I got mine. It's looking like all of the ones that were In Picking last week were actually shipped on Friday. I'd rather they spent the time doing that than updating the order status. It would have been nice to excitedly track the shipment from Finland over the weekend, but seeing as my order number lost its final few digits as it somehow got converted into an exponent and became xxxE+11, I couldn't have tracked it anyway.
Merry Christmas all you Jollers! Godspeed to all those still Paid. |

Re: Jolla tracking numbers
Received the phone, also I've received the email with the tracking number after. That's fun, because they have a bug in the number-tostring conversion of the FedeX tracking number, because is writed with cientific notation (6.97485E+11). Hope the code in the OS is more rigourous that the ones used for generating the email.
Regards. |
Re: Jolla tracking numbers
@Bundyo
I also had my order in status as "Cancelled by the sender" at one point of time. But it was normally delivered, only 1 day after the "estimated delivery date". I assume your case is exactly the same. After the delivery status was changed to "Delivered". You can use your order number to track your package as suggested several pages back in this thread. EDIT: If you order is 20000731 - I do not see the same statys change as with mine. But it is scheduled to be delivered today :) |
Re: Jolla tracking numbers
Yay, got message by phone that mine got delivered, arrived nearly the same time with the status change in the shop --> Instant delivery 4tw ;)
|
Re: Jolla tracking numbers
I keep seeing people repeating Jolla promised to deliver before Christmas, but I remember that what they promised was to deliver before the end of December (which is before the 31st, almost one week more without counting working/not working days). Is my memory wrong?
EDIT: I hope to get my Jolla before Christmas, but that's another story :p |

As I said, it's pretty challenging business. A lot of companies today have a lot less to care in order to deliver a product. |

Jolla chose the corporate route, not the community route. Which would have been fine had they delivered, but with issues I do believe a community sharing approach would have won them more goodwill than this approach. It provably would have saved support time too. Jolla said they want to be Unlike, not like "a lot of companies". This is merely my suggestion on how to be that. Just my opinion. |

It can be a bit of a nightmare if you push it to do slightly out of the ordinary tasks which might possibly be part of the problem they've had in the last few weeks. |

Maybe this was even the van of which Cybette had tweeted a pic. So, great thanks to all the hard working guys who work so hard on serving all the orders as quickly as possible. |
Re: Jolla tracking numbers
#1611 arrived at 08:30 in Germany, but without the extra OH.
