I concur with your guess.

That's the first time I've heard of that flightradar site. It's pretty cool.

I can just imagine this in a film with the evil genius selecting a flight and then clicking a 'take control' button ;)

Fair post, att. Thank you for clarifications.

This is why I think it is important to give Jolla feedback. I'm not sure early adopters dismissing the comms woes as business as usual or just like any other company is doing Jolla any favours.

My suggestions to them, such as the daily percentage count of pre-order completion on Twitter, were given in all sincerity. I hope they consider involving the community more in their early stages.

Delivered!

Thank you, Jolla! You delivered at all means:
- delivered the device in the time you promised to do,
- delivered a beautyful device as you promised,
- delivered an unlike software as you promised

Thank you all of you and my sincerest respects, that created the SW, the HW, that talked created your company and convinced others and most of all:
Thank you who worked so hard and long to get those damned boxes finally to people like me! You managed to avoid Jolla to fail on the very last meters of the whole path of delivering.

Very well done!

in your instance yes, the overall picture still remains to be seen in retrospect, after the dust settles.

No, not for any of us.

Unless, that is, they have been shipped but Fedex have messed up in the Norwegian customs hence no information there either.....

Current conclusion from this thread is that the only Jolla devices in Norway are in the hands of Jolla employees :p

You still have chances to get it before 23/12. Count 2-3 days from the day your status changes to "In picking".

Then your status must update today. Try to change the delivery address if it doesn't, I don't know what happens to FedEx packages if the recipient does not claim it for several weeks.

Change it to another country? I am not able to do it in the webshop.... Does it have to be done via email? Can such a change be trusted on such a short notice?

Re: Jolla tracking numbers

Don't know but right now you are wasting time not changing address via care Jolla. You just need to hope that they will respond to your mail in time and remember to change the address.

Well, if you know somebody you trust in the same city, you could contact FedEx to redirect any packages sent to your home address. I know it's possible with regular mail, maybe FedEx has this option too. If I were you I'd contact them.

care@jolla.com, right?

edit:
Well, I just sent the email. I hope it will work.
However, if my Jolla leaves today or tomorrow I may be able to get it in Germany. If not, I hope it works with the address change to Spain.

The unclaimed packages will be distributed as christmas gifts for the children of FedEX employees.

I know that after a few months, DHL destroy old packages. Literally taking a sledgehammer to brand new PS3s etc.

Looking at all the things it seems that Jolla is keeping up with "3-4 weeks" delivery promise from the day of purchase. So I guess there isn't much to worry about yet.

I was in the first wave, and I ordered the $0 option. What was actually the point with the $100 option? Was it just the T-shirt? Because, even if my order hasn't changed from paid yet, it doesn't really seem like they prioritize the $100 ones. Or?

We know there was an unintended delay in the start of the deliveries, so clearly Jolla is pushing their 3-4 week window into "spare time" so to speak. There is some reason to worry for those still in Paid, schedule-wise. Hopefully not much.

I believe that for most people, 4 weeks comes up this week - if it hasn't already. For most of the rest by or during the Christmas break, so Jolla needs to deliver by Christmas to stick to that.

For someone paid December 2nd, they have a couple of days after Christmas to deliver, but this is probably a quite small minority - mostly those who didn't get the webstore invites in their right time (which kind of should have made Jolla prioritize them a little more).

There are many people from the first wave who are still stuck in Paid (even though they paid promptly at the webstore) while second wave shipments have already happened. They didn't follow the priority order even though that was promised. I don't think the pre-order price in the end had much to do with it, considering some people have received their $100 orders quite late, if not still waiting.

$100 was for T-shirt and the Limited Edition OH.
