I really don't want to be confrontational, flamebaiting or trolling but they promised to release by the end of the year, when you registered your interest in getting the phone you had no way of knowing whether or not that would be 31/Dec/2013 or 1/Sep/2013, so calm down, your tone is way out of line.

BUT...

I worked for a software company once. It is a large company now but it was under 100 employees at the time. We shipped 30,000 packages every month! It took three to four days to get them all out. So something like "a few hundred per day" sounds like a joke to me.

I agree we can't compare Jolla to e.g. Amazon who ship thousands per day but come on, it's not like they need to move from a shelf on one end of the warehouse to pick up a book to another at the other end to pick up a nappy sanitizer, find a box that fits the two items, add padding etc... All the boxes are the same for goodness sake! Shipping 10,000 identical boxes is not exactly a rocket science. (Are there that many anyway? Or is it more like a half that?)

Just asked on Twitter.

I also asked care@jolla.com about a possibility for a tax refund today.

They promised before XMas or 3-4 Weeks Delivery time. That is not "by the end of december".

Furthermore, the problem is not getting the phone later. The problem is that a lot of people that bought it after me (and much others) are getting it much sooner, since no "preorder order" was respected.

3 weeks from the 2nd of December is 23rd and 4 weeks is 30th, So in theory they got till the 30th to deliver your phone.

Pre-order should arrive by Christmas (http://www.allboutn9.info/2013/12/jo...-everyone.html) and also this tweet of a Jolla person "if all goes fine all pre-orders should get it by (crossing fingers) Christmas" says it.

Well we will see. I'm not really expecting anything anymore ;)

It was never 3-4 weeks from December 2nd, but from the date of final order (when people randomly finally got their webstore invites, which didn't come in pre-order order). So for most people 4 weeks expires before or during the Christmas break.

Also, most importantly, Jolla promised many times to respect the pre-order priority. They did not. This was a big promise to break, because it makes no sense why they should break it and not communicate it at all. It would be one thing if only people waiting now were second wave pre-orders, but in reality there are still day 1, wave 1 orders from May undelivered while September orders have been delivered a week ago.

Anyway, the signs are and have been for a couple of days they will probably get every one of them out before Christmas. I hope the deliveries themselves then will succeed.

When people registered, Jolla promised - on many occasions - to respect the pre-order priority. They have not. Orders from May are still not delivered while orders from September have been delivered. And not even a word from Jolla to help us understand the broken promise.

Just the recent interview hint that we may be impossible to please... No, we are not. Just respect the promised pre-order priority and I guarantee people will have an easier time understanding delays etc. Queueing may be annoying, but much more annoying is when the queue is not respected.

Indeed it is. However, the promise was 3 - 4 weeks from when you paid, not from 2nd December (that date was simply the cutoff for Decemner deliveries, as your own maths shows). And most of the preorders paid between the 22nd and 25th November. You do the maths ...

I would not be surpised if DHL Supply Chain is flashing the Jollas before they are packed and shipped. And we don't know if they also doing something else.

You don't think complaints are relative? You don't think one problem can be lesser - and less complained - than some other? Trust me, I've seen enough pre-order schemes to know not respecting the order is much worse than many other faults, including limited supply or delays. It is mere common sense. Respect the queue and you respect the people waiting in line.

You don't think Jolla should have respected the pre-order priority?

Think of it, you are standing in line during busy Christmas shopping. It sucks. But it sucks much more if the store starts taking people from outside the queue and serving them, when you have stood there for 10 minutes patiently waiting for your turn.

I am beginning to think Jolla can do no wrong for you. Maybe that makes conversing with you impossible.

I just checked the spreadsheet for the first time and see two entries there already with the same order number as I have (200003500), one of them is also going to the UK. Has anyone noticed order numbers are being duplicated in places?

Edit: Thanks folks below :)

Worry not, some people are not willing to reveal their complete order number, using something like 35XX, where the XX is subsequently replaced by zeros so that the spreadsheet could be sorted.

br4ndo 2013-12-19 13:46

Re: Jolla tracking numbers

That's probably originally stated as a 35xx number and then converted to 3500.

Quaddy 2013-12-19 13:46

Re: Jolla tracking numbers

all that will be is when they have omitted the last two digits and put ** or XX the spreadhsheet elves have replaced it with 00's coincidentally matching your actual number, theirs will be 3524 for example or something in the range of 3500-3599 :)

Re: Jolla tracking numbers

For whoever asked somewhere earlier in the thread, my order number is 2893. It's been changed to "In Picking" but it still isn't showing up on Fedex.

Also, others who have recently received their devices aren't receiving their LE TOH? This is going to be a major pain for me since I'm not in a supported country and need to Fedex it (again) from UK to Malaysia... So either I Fedex the phone first, and Fedex the TOH again later... or wait for TOH to arrive and Fedex both of them together (who knows when that will be).
