Re: [v0.1-31] Mitakuuluu - indie WhatsApp client for Sailfish - Support thread

Hi all

first of all: really good app! use it since last week and i'm totally happy :D but there is one question: what is the best way to update mitakuuluu? is it enough to just delete the app with the "X" or is it necessary to delete some other files on the filesystem?

thanks in advance for your help

Re: [v0.1-31] Mitakuuluu - indie WhatsApp client for Sailfish - Support thread

just install new version. you don't need to do anything special before update :)

Is it possible to add "vibrate only" option? When im muting group, there is no vibration notication when receiving message. I hope it would be possible to add.

It doesn't seems like the problem of switching server.
The messages just wouldn't pop up,I only get the messages when I open the app.

I used data most of the time,
and the problem seemed more obvious when I connect with data

1. Sometimes I quit the app by simply swiping the screen from the top, there isn't any message notification nor if I reopen the app, no new messages are shown

2. Then I quitted the app from the menu and reopened the app, then it would notify me there are a number of unread messages.

So, now, from time to time, I have to quit the app from the menu to make sure there isn't any new messages I missed.

I hope you understand what I mean.

this is late suspend feature of sailfish update. you shold be enjoyed by it.

I'm still receiving message notifications even when I've not been touching the phone for hours, so stop blaming the Sailfish update :)

I'm glad that You resolved the problem with your account!
Could You be so kind to share with us the "solution"?
Thanks

For all those who are intereted in paying the whatsapp yearly subscription:

You have to complete this link:

h*ttp://www.whatsapp.com/payments/cksum_pay.php?phone=49123456789&cksum=254c93800636d400c83c39614a5052f7

Where phone is you phone number in internation format (whatsapp's 'login name')
And cksum is the md5 hash of your phone number + 'abc'.

Taking the phone number "49123456789" as the example, you have to calculate the md5 hash for the following value "49123456789abc" (without the quotation marks). The md5 for 49123456789abc is 254c93800636d400c83c39614a5052f7

All you have to do then is follow the instructions in the browser.

What I have to say? It works for me... you surely know much more than me about your app and Sailfish system, there's no denying that. But how do you explain that I have the latest Sailfish update, and still flawlessly get message notifications even when my phone is surely in its deep suspend state (since I've not been touching it for hours)?

I really don't want to sound aggressive here, I just don't understand how what I see and what you say can go together. ;)

Ok, that may have sounded a bit harsh, sorry. :)
I was in a hurry, I didn't think too much about how it sounded in English.

My question still stands though. I've seen you say this ("it's a problem with the last update") quite some times, but it doesn't correspond to my experience with Mitakuuluu (should I explicitly say that it's great app, and more so considering you still don't have a real Jolla to test it on? We cool? :D).

EDIT
To clarify even more: I'm just trying to give sense to what I'm experiencing.

@Watchmaker you have something running preventing deep sleep. How long your device working between charging?

Mmm. My memory can fail me here, but if I'm not wrong, I've unplugged it yesterday morning (don't remember the exact hour, it may have been 5AM or something). Battery still at 47%. WiFi always on, mobile data always off.
I have the mail app, the settings app and mitakuuluu running.

EDIT:
More in general, I usually recharge my Jolla every 48hrs.

I also confirm above behavior.
Also, It would be nice to see actual time when the message was sent.

i think that depends on two major factors:
1. what (if any) changes are applied to the way whatsapp works
2. how users react - if people start to shift away from WA, coderus won't have a goal to keep it alive... however, that would need all users to swap... if most of your friends stay with WA, you will too...

here's log file http://pastebin.com/Xjjtdu0

Quote:

[D 13:28:04 SERVER] src/Whatsapp/warequest.cpp:95 void WARequest::readResult(): Reply: "{"status":"fail","reason":"missing"}
but what can i do with that?

Thanks, any help appreciated

Hello Coderus.

I have feature request. :)
Could you add option to remove fast scroll bar?
I find it annoying when I scroll messages, I always accidentally swipe there.

Thanks.

@Mikkosssss i'll take a look after getting my jolla :)
@stmprn35 you need to request code using mitakuuluu

I totally agree with @Mikkosssss , quick scrollbar is annoing.

Let's hope Jolla is landing soon to Coderus :)

Re: [v0.1-31] Mitakuuluu - indie WhatsApp client for Sailfish - Support thread

I find the scrollbar convenient, but it could be just a bit thinner to avoid accidental swipes.

Worldwide problems are being reported. A Dutch complaints site recorded 10k complaints in half an hour. BTW some problems on Telegram service too, messages not being sent, maybe due to fast growing popularity.
