It doesn't work for me either..this probably is because of I have no mitakuulu.conf file at all..does anybody know if it is possible to use someone else's file??

If you like coderus work in Mitakuuluu and other softwares, look at the topic "Help coderus develop for SailfishOS" and contribute with funds via Indiegogo.

I'm going to do a hard reset when update 10 arrives. Still got my mitäkuuluu running and would like to keep it that way.

So just to be sure, this mitakuuluu2.conf is important for reinstall and should be saved before reseting?

Anything else what I should do or backup?

@asa mitakuuluu not using conf file since some version. only dconf. and you can't automatically export/save it. only manually.

I'd like to know if I could downgrade the last version to 0.8.13..the 0.8.15 is too laggy..

I have the latest version, so I should find this dconf-file and manually save it before hard reset?

there is no "dconf file". run dconf dump /apps/harbour-mitakuuluu2 snd then manually set values with dconf write

Hey, im new here and when im installing this app im getting an error on registration:

phonenumber is phonenumber without +
myJid should be automatically set with phonenumber, if not it's phonenumber@s.whatsapp.net

Seems the awesome age of MItakuuluu 2 ended today. It's stuck in a reconnecting loop since a few hours....

same here and also for a friend of mine..

I tried the android app and it won't let me connect. I get up to the step where I have to input my Name and profile picture, but after tapping the "Next" button it just says "Initialising" and fails after a while stating it couldn't connect and I should try again later.... Maybe there is a problem with the whatsapp-servers or something like that?

Let's hope that's it's just Facebook screwed up the servers for a while...

same issue over here.. but my GF is using official client and she is also experiencing this issue..(and some other official users) so @rooster13 i hope you are right.. and that this is just temporarily..

I have asked Coderus by email and via Indiegogo about the possibility of an app to work alongside Android Whatsapp to provide proper notifications on Jolla. Despite my generous contributions to the acquisition of his Jolla phone and to his current campaign in Indiegogo, he hasn't bothered replying.............

Mitakuuluu started reconnect loop yesterday and I finally installed the cra**y Android app. My Android app is working without any issues (other than I hate it)

Man, I really miss Mitakuuluu. Coderus, it is so unfortunate that Whatsapp (Facebook) is doing this crap. We love your Mitakuuluu. I hope you can come up with a solution.

It loops here too. It download messages but can't send any, no enought time between loops. I will open Mitakuuluu every some hours and see if it is working then. I won't install official client.

Well guys

I think it,s done.. i rebooted my phone open Mitakuuluu and it gave me the registration field.. I tried registering but with no luck.. So i guess it,s no whatsapp ( i REFUSE to use official client ) for me untill Coderus can provide us with a new build..

Ok Coderus, Android Whatsapp works on Jolla, we all know that it's not in the same league as Mitakuuluu but at least it functions. Problem is that if the app is closed notifications don't arrive until the app is opened. If the app is open or minimized notifications work but not if Jolla is in standby. It would be good if there was an app or something similar that makes Whatsapp think that it's on an Android phone. Then we would get bot audio and visual notifications even with Whatsapp closed.

I don't know/ remember it right but I think the registration is broken but you should get a 6 digit code and the registration procedure changed a little bit (so you are unable to re-register inside Mitäkuuluu in any case).. and did you read my linked post? If you re-register inside Mitäkuuluu you will be bunned by Whatsapp...

@Willie6868.. i will try the method in the link you send me...(thanks) At this point i,m getting/got a 6 digit code within mitakuuluu but just like you said i,m unable to register within Mitakuuluu....

I have to wait 10 more hours now before i can try to re-register (your method)...
