At no point was that officially said, it was always "next week", at one point it was early March, that's the only "early" we've had.
Personally doesn't bother me either way, not being an early adopter & all that...
Looking at it all as an outsider, it seems they really need to get this one right, as they've made much about "leaving beta" with this release.
So, I'd rather that they took as long as they needed (with reason ofc), rather than guarantee delivery at x arbitrary date.

Who is release manager at jolla? Jolla should create a web page we are jollaWeAreOpen.com where they release release info. Thats unlike

Yup.

And instead of announcing monthly updates they should say regular updates (10 or so in an year) and make sure that they can deliver that. I never really expected that monthly update to hold true, at the very least it would not stick the during summer holiday period. Deliver when its ready, but don't give people expectations you can't hold.

(and give that LTE update pretty soon! Or you are just ****ing liars and false marketeers. I'm quite close to making an official complaint about it to the consumer ombudsman).

I don't !

Update beign late for few days is quite different from a major feature being late since november ( when the phone was released) or since last may (when I made my pre-order for my LTE phone). The fact is that they continue to this day (!) sellling their phone as a LTE phone, but it has no LTE support. And we are talking about a communication device here. So lack of promised communication standars is no small feat!

I'm actually quite ashamed to admit that it's only my fanboism stopping me from making that complaint. Well... actually my fanboism combined with my lasiness. I did the whole ombudsman route few years back against one the biggest telecoms in the world (Telia-Sonera) and won, but all the paperwork involved was a real pain in the *** and a huge time sink.

But that's just about as much will spend writing about it. This board is full of even bigger fanbois than me. None of you would allow any other corporation to false advertise any missing basic features in their products for so long. But do post some random hate about Ms and Google, while letting Jolla to have the liberty to missadvertise their products as long as they want. Oh and something about them having only 80 employees. We have even less workes where I work, but at least we make sure not to advertise and promise what we can't deliver.

I generally agree with you, but I don't think Jolla are in some way getting a "free ride" from this board (not that they are likely to change their behaviour too much).

That LTE support is still not as thing is certainly a massive failure, and it's safe to assume that it's a Sailfish failure, as opposed to a hardware issue. For sure I would give Google or MS a much harder time (in that I would have returned the device for a full refund) but I agree with you that Jolla must get LTE working, or admit that they have mis-sold the device... and to the very people who care most about what they are trying to achieve. Can I wait a few more days for 1.0.4.x? Sure. Can I accept LTE being absent for another few months? No, probably not.

Jolla has promised so much. Let's not overlook that Jolla has delivered a good portion of that, but it's undeniably true also that they have failed to deliver some of the key stuff. I'm massively impressed by the good stuff, and it's true that my love of the good bits does lead me to let slide stuff which would leave me frothing at the mouth if a bigger corporation did it. I'm still not willing to accept "sometime in the future, probably" as an acceptable answer for much longer though.

Let's re-evaluate after this update comes out, whenever that is...

LTE support is way down the list for me. It's only just being rolled out now in much of Europe. I'd have to travel about 30 miles to get a 4g signal and that's only because I happen to live near one of the three cities 4g is being rolled out in. I'm not expecting it at home until well into 2015.

I'm not sure why you'd want it. The 3g I get on my Jolla now is faster than my landline broadband.
