Re: [WIP] App / Tweak: patchmanager a system-wide patching system + homescreen tweak

Idea for a patch (not sure if possible, but should be): full OS rotability.

I have countless times pulled out my Jolla, double tapped, only to learn its upside down and need a cowboy twirl to use. With the top and bottom bezels pretty much the same size, having the whole UI rotate (like in some applications, browser for example, so it doesn't seem to be hardcoded, but not sure on the basic UI) would be useful in many situations. One problem is the mic and speaker don't rotate freely, so phone app would need an exemption and maybe warning if the phone is upside down (then again speakers can be used as microphone http://www.zyra.org.uk/sp-mic.htm though not sure if the quality would be good enough), but for most checking text/feed/quick reply scenarios this would be quite useful?

These patches are great, I mean really amazing. I can't live without the events screen control center. But cant Jolla actually implement some of these since they are very useful. I mean its a piss take for me to have to go to settings everytime I want to turn Wifi on and off.

go to together.jolla.com and create your idea, or vote for existing one.

Hi,
Yesterday, my Jolla crashed 2 times. Now, I see the "mobile data" is not available (grayed) in the "Control Center in events view" patch.

Tried to remove/reinstall the patch (and reboot system ui of course), same. Anyone else with this issue?

Known issue, lot's of discussion about that earlier in this topic. Mobile network should be still usable via settings menu. Sometimes rebooting or re-enabling the patch helps, sometimes it doesn't. But it never bothered me too much, as I always keep network enabled.

Updated AUSMT to fix OTA issues. This was a big part of my work these days, because it was breaking removal of some patches.

Updated SailfishOS patches base too, to get the vibrate when connected working again.

I'm now only supporting 1.1.0.X, so these patches might not work on earlier versions.

Of course, I'm working on advanced patches too ;), expect an update soon.

Is there any way to unapply old patches? (while I have already updated to uitukka and even these new patches does not work)

Update AUSMT and try again. I did fixes in that sense to be able to remove old patches.
