Lol...let me say clearly

After enabled lockscreen music player control, when playing music with headphone plugged in, the button of the headphone is not working (cant pause playing music)

The green notification light is blinking when I double click to unlock, during playing music.

Disabled the lockscreen music player control fixed

What kind of headset are you using?
I have a iPhone compatible headset, and I dont have "led blinking". (Although I can't pause my music with any button of my headset, even without the lockscreen music control)

I forget to uninstall old eventsview patch (only disable). And now i've got failed to install.
When I uninstall patch from warehouse, I've got "failed to remove" message, but patch is disappeared from patchmanager and settings.
Re-installing the patch doesn't help.

What can I do to fix the problem?

Quickly flashing green LED indicates the screen service restarting. Sometimes it is intentional, like when you e.g. toggle a lockscreen patch in Patchmanager.

I don't use the media control patch but I have encountered the unexpected flashing green LED quite a lot. Sometimes, when the screen comes back, my background image is gone. It is always triggered by trying to make the lockscreen do "something" (e.g. just moving it up and down) after applying some patch. Your double tap may fall in this category.

I have had a look at some of the lockscreen-modifying patches but I did not see anything that might be responsible for this behaviour. It looks like there is some inherent bug in Sailfish and the patches may expose it. Again, I did not see anything in the patches that would do something hugely different from what the lockscreen does anyway so I suspect the patches expose it by merely touching the lockscreen. It looks like the part of Sailfish that handles the lockscreen is not particularly stable.

The fact that it seemingly affects some users but not others may of course be due to some people not noticing it and others denying it exists. But it is even more likely that there is some edge condition that triggers for some configurations but for others. I think we need to investigate it better and come back to Jolla with a detailed bug report and steps to reproduce.

Same here. The system UI crashes a lot too much IMHO :D

@coderus, just listening some music and I do confirm sometimes (I couldn't identify a specific cause for the moment) the media player widget is not displayed on the Lockscreen.

Yes I know, and believe me, I'm trying to provide you with more information.

And I think I've got something to test.

1. Play some music
2. Crash the system UI (don't know how, maybe a restart may be enough, but I don't know how to just restart it, I'll try this if someone helps)
-> After the system UI restart, the screen is still off and the music is still playing
3. Wake up the phone (not unlock)
-> Media Player widget is not visible
5. Unlock the phone
6. Lock is again by swiping down
-> Media Player widget is visible

I've the feeling the time is a parameter here. After a while, the widget is not visible anymore and you've to unlock/lock the phone again to get it visible.

I just remember if I have enabled meecast widget in patchmanager, dont have crash.
Now I disabled meecast widget, the crash sometimes come out.
Have you enabled meecast widget in patchmanager?

@TMavica: Probably the opposite, no? I've some doubts the UI crashes WITHOUT MeeCast widget, or a lot of people would have complained about Sailfish UI bugs.

i have been reading to coderus since more than a year and he has been very sarcastic since the beggining and he does a great job but doesn't put his efforts in solving problems he can't see. I would prefer him to do, but hey he is giving his time and work to me for free, so I couldn't ask for that.
Maybe if that was wrote as a condition in crowfunding campaign....

It can happen with or without the MeeCast widget. I suspect that just updating the lockscreen triggers it. Any change: it could be either adding or removing a widget or a patch.

My answer to TMavica was to say: "if you don't modify the lockscreen, I don't see why you should face UI crashes".

I agree with you because I installed MeeCast widget just 2 days ago, but the UI crashes appeared much before.

@coderus Asking for logs or info which helps to trace the problem. Obviously there will be cases where just one person have the problem and it can't be traceable, but when two or more people have it, some work could be done. Writing instructions so people could get logs and help you or other developers to trace the problems, would be a great improvement.

I like your sarcastic answers but I understand that people could get them as offense when they just have a problem and want to solve it. So being more kind would upgrade you from hero to superhero ;) :D:D:D

Here's something you can try to reproduce the lock screen controls not appearing -bug:

1. Open the stock media player & play a song
2. Swipe back to homescreen
3. Swipe down to turn off display
4. Let the music play for a while (like a minute or so)
5. Turn on the dislpay and the controls widget is not there

Maybe this helps to trace it. And I dont mind sarcastic comments as long as these nice patches keep coming, big thanks to coderus!

Happy to see I'm not the only one with this issue.

1st try : System ui crashed
2nd: Sequence sounds great, I've reproduced the issue with these instructions.

Great, this means fix is closer than ever!

EDIT: I've also seen that if the widget is not visible, switch off/on the screen can make it visible again, but doesn't work at 100%.

I can confirm this bug aswell ! after a minute or so the lipstick.service just restarted automatically . most probably it crashed .
