Re: [WIP] App / Tweak: patchmanager a system-wide patching system + homescreen tweak
Hi there. After yesterday's update I still have problems with eventview and mazelock. I did everything such a uninstall patches and patchmanager, restart, install everything again but I am not able to switch these two patches off. Eventsview doesn't work but mazelock still works what is quite funny. This is one of many reasons why I love jolla - always can suprise with something :-)..
Do you have any idea or solution for this behaviour? THX a lot. |

That's strange. I did it in the morning, but it didn't help. I did it again now and everything works. Thanks a lot, without your recommendation I didn't do it again...

That would be really nice. A system-wide alert, "system update in 30... 29... 28... run for a cover!"

Re: [WIP] App / Tweak: patchmanager a system-wide patching system + homescreen tweak
I hated that I have to pull down the calendar to see column headings.
Today, I decided to see if I can fix it and I successfully moved the day of the week heading down so it shows on the monthly calendar view. I don't know if anyone else maybe interested, but I thought I will figure out how to build a patch for the patchmanger with it. If anyone interested in this, please try this "Calendar Show Day of Week Heading" patch. My first one (edit: no guarantees). Download RPM here Next I want to make my week start on Sunday instead of Monday. |

Ok. I got it to start the calendar week on Sunday. It is a bad hack.I need to play with it some more and see if can figure out a better hack. :):)

Could someone make a patch to remove the (completely useless and screen space eating, imo) word suggestion bar of the keyboard?

"Better video controls" is in the Patchpackage "Sailfish OS Patches (Base)", but in the version 0.5.0-10.9.1 from Warehouse you could not activate the patch "better video controls" via patchmanager. In the web i found a version 0.5.1-10.10.1. You can download it here: Version 0.5.1-10.10.1 Install this version from "Sailfish OS Patches (Base)" via a Filemanager. Go toPatchmanager, activate "Better video controls". Than install "Sailfish OS Patches (Base)" 0.5.0-10.9.1 again above 0.5.1-10.10-1 to activate other patches from this package You can install version 0.5.0-10.9.1 from Warehouse via the options uninstall and install again or download it here: Version 0.5.0-10.9.1 and install version 0.5.0-10.9.1 it with a Filemanager above 0.5.1-10.10.1 Best regards az2111 |

Patch: SailfishOS Calendar Start Week on Sunday
Currently it requires Patch: SailfishOS Calendar Show Day of Week Heading to be installed and applied. And you must un-apply this patch before you un-apply Patch: SailfishOS Calendar Show Day of Week Heading. Download and test at Open Repos: SailfishOS Calendar Start Week on Sunday |

Re: [WIP] App / Tweak: patchmanager a system-wide patching system + homescreen tweak
Uh, did not know that about day_of_week , just remembered the number_of_week thing.
So yes, plus one to that request (even I am afraid it will narrow down the view too much). |

It maybe possible, but it will require reducing the size of the dates, which is probably a bad thing. I do like to get the Month name and year on top though. |

Interesting...
If I go to January 2015 and swipe right, I see the week numbers 1-6, but the month and year shows Dec 2014. Attachment 36653 If I go to January 2015 and swipe left, I see the week numbers 5-10, but the month and year shows Jan 2015. Attachment 36654 I wonder if this is a bug. |
Re: [WIP] App / Tweak: patchmanager a system-wide patching system + homescreen tweak
If you continue swipping left you will see february. That week numbers correspond to next month,

Basically, the week number is for the month on the right and month label is for the month on left. Kind of confusing. I think it should show the week numbers and month label of the month on the right side. Maybe just me? |

Re: [WIP] App / Tweak: patchmanager a system-wide patching system + homescreen tweak
The creation of the Launcher Combined Patch, gave me an idea. For you guys who are writing such amazing tweaks, don't you think it would be great to publish Sailfish OS versioned patches sets?
For instance to have on OpenRepos a package of patches labelled for U10, then one for U11, etc. Each would contains probably the same patches, and/or version specific ones. That could avoid all messages we see each time about what to keep and what to remove, etc. |

all my patches are only testen on latest available opt-in or public release versoin. many patches can't be installed on older sailfish versions and i would never make patches for older sailfish versions. everybody should update. |
Re: [WIP] App / Tweak: patchmanager a system-wide patching system + homescreen tweak
Wonderful update Coderus ;)
I just found one bug.. if you delete an app located on a folder.. delete notification will be shown on the normal app view, not on the folder one. I don't now if you can show it on the second view... But you can just go back to the first view |
