patchmanager has own icon path (/usr/share/patchmanager/icons) so you should re-scale current one or edit patchmanager json-file and put correct icons into theme-folder.

I resized the icons with gimp to 128x128 and replaced the small two.

Hi Everyone!

After my 2 years adventure with BB10 (post N9 adventure), I've decided to give a chance to Sailfish..

I've got a brand new Jolla C and I'm playing with it already a few days.. I've found some bugs, but after Update to 2.0.2.48 almost all of them are gone..

I like the MeeGo-Feeling of Sailfish very much, but I'd like to have a "full-carusel" Feeling, like on N9 swiping from left to right between App-Launcher, Events view and Home-Screen.. I've been searching for a patch, but unfortunately none found.

Is there something like that already? I know, I can get App-Launcher with swipe from bottom to up, but is it also possible in MeeGo-way (left/right)?

Why does the patch need to depend on any specific version of dbus-python anyway?

I got updated to 2.0.2.48 and now I canīt get Meecast to eventsview. (Only Jolla oem weather app...)

Who should I contact? Does it need to be updated by @vasvlad?

So uninstalling meecast events view and reinstalling did the trick..

That's what I did with both 2.0.2.48 and 2.0.3.14. I think I had to reboot after the reinstall to see the result, though.

Pathmanager update!

Comes with preinstalled patch for unapplying all patches before installing system upgrade. Operation is fully automatic and you dont need to do any actions manually. If patchmanager will fail at unapplying some patch, upgrade process wont be started and you should unapply patch manually.

hm, I enabled the unapply patch with activated unapply patch from Schturman. And now I am not able to select sailfishos setting anymore. Unapplying the new patch is not be possible anymore too. Any hints to get it work again?

[Update] ok that was an early panic message: I now: copied mainpage.qml.webosinternals.orig back to mainpage.qml. Update settng works again. Than I was able to uninstall Schturman's patch. But when enabling the new patch it is not possible to disable it again. Is this the right behaviour?

you always can unupply patch by this command as root:

P.S. what phone and os version you use ? Because on both my devices (jolla1 and tablet) all work without any problem...

@Schturmann: 2.0.2.48 - both 1 and C. I think it was not your patch but coderus'. I thought that it was a problem with both your and coderus' patch installed.

But after removing your patch the behaviour is the same:

Original state (after reinstall jolla-settings-sailfishos): enable coderus patch. Everything is fine - though I do not know if the patch works on update (what I believe it does). Disable the patch: fails - but I cannot reach upgrade settings anymore.

Sorry it is not coderus' patch it is Sfiet_Konstantin's.

Yup, same here.

Fixed by (using FBRoot, adapt accordingly):
  1. Go to /usr/share/jolla-settings/pages/sailfishos.
  2. Check the file mainpage.qml.webosinternals.orig is present. Bail out if not.
  3. Delete mainpage.qml and mainpage.rej.
  4. Rename mainpage.qml.webosinternals.orig to mainpage.qml.
  5. Sailfis OS update in Settings is now accessible again.
  6. (Optional) Start Patchmanager and unapply the offending patch.

Sure. There are different views on what constitutes damage. Two superfluous files left behind are enough for me to make it worth going the manual way. Also, and I do realize that it may sound strange to some people, but I see little point running pkcon and employing the whole machinery, downloading, unpacking and whatnot, when all the bits are already there. All you need to do is rename one file.
