Re: WANTED: A book-case style cover for the N900

siemshop on ebay has the pdair leather book model

at one time there may have been other manufacturers...can't remember rightly if I've seen any others....
there are plenty of leather flip models ...belt style leather pouch models and all sorts of plastic or silly-con ...but for a while now only pdair seems to make any book styles for the n900 (they are the only ones making the aluminum n900 cases as well)...almost as rare as the elusive n900 otter case :D

Where I got mine a while back...guys good.

Addendum:
Did some digging...since i realize that one of my n810's has a sweeet leather wallet
(might want to type that phrasing in instead of "book case"...you'll get a few more searches appearing)
...that is made by Boxwave......real beauty...real tight pro stitching
...and in most other models the inside of the leather cover
..whether it is "flip" or "book" model...tends to be blank...
or at best have 1 or 2 slots for sd cards....
but the n810 boxwave leather wallet has 3 slots for credit/id cards
and a slot at the inside "hinge" that is the size of the whole front cover...for whatever...
Sooooo. naturally I figured there must be similar for the n900....
Did some hunting and...found this by Boxwave....

http://www.boxwave.com/nokia-n900-ca...bwpdd/pf-tckk/

the proper aluminum flak jacket ....not a knockoff.
Decent price... on sale currently 1/2 price...
cheaper than pdair's version...and pretty slick.

AND...even better....

http://www.trade2w.com/Genuine-Delux...okia-N900.html

Just like my N810 Boxwave wallet!
Better! The sd card slots face inward ...
meaning less chance of them getting lost(never has happened to me with my boxwave... but you never know)
Stitching looks good ...and SUPER cheap....
$12...free shipping and a screen protector thrown in...
worth the risk....I'm gonna need a slick Corporate-Business-Man-Mogul-like-case for mah neo900 when it shows... ...put on mah white patent leather shoes ...turn on the bee gees on my neo900 and do mah travolta strut down mainstreet :D
...so I've just bought this case :D ...tell you whether it is worth it when it arrives. :D

Thanks for Asking the question man!
Else I'd never have hunted and would have gotten the easily searched for Aluminum Tank :D

Considering buying the last one you linked, is the site safe?

Had no prob ....nothing questionable or suspicious ...
paypal checkout went smoothly...for the total of $13 I figured I'd risk the miniscule loss.

If you are concerned ...

1- wait 'til my comp blows up...my paypal is hacked or my bank account raped and I'll let everyone know the site is poison....(been a couple of days so far and nothing is amiss...yet)
or
2- wait until mine shows up and I'll fill you in on the quality...
or
3- take the risk

Up to you :D

Re: WANTED: A book-case style cover for the N900

It's been a week and a half...so far nothing in the post yet
It is free shipping ...which in all honesty tends to take about a month from China....(I order quite a bit of stuff from there)...and it seems to be the norm it takes about that long for anything sent with a free shipping option....After 2 weeks I'll email them for an update....after a month and a week I'll raise hell. :D

when I write them this weekend I'll let them know that there is a whole community watching to see if they come through ....and with a quality product....it will mean more business for them...which I'm sure would perk up any business's ears :D

Re: WANTED: A book-case style cover for the N900

Just sent them a email for an update on the purchase (couldn't wait for the weekend :D ) ....
told them that at that price a community of n900 users is waiting to see the result....and possibly order too.
We'll see what happens...

Keep ya updated as it comes down the pipe :D
