Funny. Mostly outside of this community a lot of people are like "what the hell do we need to do with a physical keyboard when virtual keyboards are da bomb" and inside this community some people were like "oh it's never gonna work, to costly and hardly anyone wants to pledge, blablabla" and look at the success after only a couple of hours! :)

i'm new in here. hope someone can help me...
but first i wish to thank the entire community, for the great work that was done.
i tried to order the tohkbd at kickstarter, by paying with a visa card, from germany. unfortunately, it was not possible to do the payment. i already tried several times, but they still decline the payment.
maybe someone in here, has got the same problem, by paying with visa from germany?
otherwise, i wanted to ask the responsibles, if it's possible to reserve one exemplar (120 €, custom colours) since i resolved the problem with my credit card, or found another payment method?

Take a minute and write a nice mail to your favorite tech blog, forum, news paper or what ever...inform everyone about this campaign. Let's bring back the keyboard to the main stage.

Minutes before the Kickstarter began the Internet connection of my PC failed :eek:. I got very nervous, but take my Jolla, changed it from 2G to 3G and got a 100€+shipping pledge on time :D

More than 64k and increasing quickly :eek::eek::eek:

I'm also in for 120 € colored TOHKBD2 (red scandic for me). I actually pledged during the work day when project had collected around 26000 €.

I have three Jollas so the temptation to get several TOHKBD2s is severe. Only the reality check into the wallet keeps me ordering one more. I just hope my N900 keeps working until I get my hands on this gadget,

TOHKBD2 has a dream team behind it. I would not be surprised if Jolla would some day hire them all. Would not be the worst decision to make.

hi guys, I am planning to order the TOH for 100% (probably custom colored "black"), but I really don't know, how the kickstarter works... I know I will sound pretty stupid :-) I HAVE to pledge for the money on the kickstarter before I could pre-order it ? is the kickstarter "just for info" for dirkvl to know, how many people will want it ?

Hey there dirkvl, just wanted to pledge 110€ for the TOHKBD but the shipping to Slovenia (which is within EU) is 16€. Isn't it supposed to be 11€?

If it is real, I'm not sure that it's the best idea to launch on both Kickstarter and Indiegogo. At least not with the exact same limited perks that were sold out on KS hours ago. I am completely satisfied with my KS pledge, but some people may cancel their pledges and move to IGG to give less $$ at the end.

Crap, I read too fast the reward for the €2'500 pledge at first. I could have had a tohkbd2 with custom colour for only €100 when this pledge was still available. :D But anyway, the hero pledger is gone so there is no custom color for everyone anymore, but there's room for a generous donor again! :)

I had some suspicion, but it says 'verified account' next to your name on IGG - that's pretty messed up if it's not you.

This user is spreading the link on Twitter.

Indiegogo works in a different way than Kickstarter - you can take all the money without reaching any goal. Therefore people who pledge there can lose money instantly.

EDIT: Good to hear they took it down so fast.

Pledged now for custom coloured one (too bad I got back from work too late for the 120€ ones ;-) ). It's really cool to have the goal reached in such a short time, I actually did't expected the HW KB will have that much supporters around here. And the gift for TOHKBD-rev1 owners is also nice. Indiegogo have two options. One if goal is reached, if not payback to backers. But also creater get Money immediately no matter what.

Really pleased the kickstarter reached it's goal so fast.. do you have to set stretch goals to keep raising money or could you just use the money to improve the product?
