Like the TMO profanity filter.

No need to call me names, jks

That was overkill with the filter.

Wait, why is m-o-r-o-n censored?

Why is there a profanity filter? Do puritans run this site? Hello?

More to the point, why is o-xy-mo-ron censored? I thought the filter had been adjusted to trigger on whole words only, to avoid the smart-watch nonsense.

The filter needs to be adjusted to each case by hand I guess.

I agree it is unnecessary but that is only my opinion.

There was a lengthy discussion on the filter some time ago and the verdict was that it should stay but be modified so that it does not give false positives.

Knowing that the filter's parameters, as well as the concept of a profanity filter, are quite puritanistic, many people were convinced that it was for the better? Alrighty then.
