Hmm forgot about WART. Just tried it, but I get a similar error:
Could not request code using either sms or voice.
SMS: {"status":"fail","reason","blocked"}

I think I have to contact whatsapp for this, hipefully they are willing to unblock me.

Hi,

in the settings, I cannot change the privacy password, I tried several times and several ways. only by editing the config-file in /home/user/.config/cepiperez/whatsup.conf, there the line PrivacyPassword, it's written in plaintext.

and is there a way to deactivate the privacy mode by shell command? like
/opt/whatsup/whatsup-launcher with parameters?

Whatsup is working again. I had to contact whatsapp via the original app. Luckily I still had a nokia s40 lying around. But I have to say that the support department is not the most customer friendly. To much automated replies requesting extra basic info which they just could have asm for in the first message etc...

Anyway, I'm glad I can again use this awesome app again.

I had this weird problem with 1.2.7 and it still exist with 1.2.9, i can send messages to my contacts but i can't receive any thing from them, even they can see me online, please help

The Changelog here says, with 1.2.9 you can switch back to plain text messages:

So I thought with 1.2.9 you can switch at will between official client and WhatsUp.
But I didn't try this feature... I've only used WhatsUp all the time.

emoticons partially dont work at me, i select an emoticon , i see a white ico image after i send it i see the image.

also the emoticons of categories dont see them.

It is a well known bug, it will be fixed.
