I would like to know as to why the existing version gets shutdown when the new version's work is on progress.... Have always wondered how and why :confused::confused::confused:

It's the WhatsApp API that causes it. I Guess it's so they ensure all the official app users stay up to date

If the error is mainly due to a version number check, and not other features, would it be possible to modify WhatsUp so that the version number is read from a text file the users can edit when the issue appears? E.g. Whatsup works fine, then when a new S40 WA version is released, just edit the file with new version and continue with use? :confused:

when can the nxt update be released....Literally Waiting....2 days without watsap seems like two years :P
Too tough without watsapp :/

Is the source of the current version anywhere to be found.
The ooold versions seem to still be up on gh though and the yowsup lib seems to get some attention every now and then
