I suspect that the 32GB max is the good old FAT-format limitation. Sure, format it with extfs or something and you'll not face that problem, but the "industry standard" format is still based around the Microsoft formats, so you'll have trouble sharing that uSD card with other mobile devices.

So basically, paying to license exFAT gives you a level of compatibility with all the other junk already on the market today. :)

Yeah, a bit strange about the memory, the n900 and the Jolla phone can both handle at least 64GB microsdhc card.

What I would love on a tablet is:
real user logon/differentiation (log in, e-mail, browsing, history, ...)
What about that?

Care to expand on that?

FAT32 can happily handle more than 32GB. It is true that Windows Explorer refuses to format it but that's a Windows Explorer arbitrary limitation, not FAT32.

Imagine you sharing a tablet with your mum. You don't want her to see your browsing history, do you?

Yes but for a lot of users, as card comes pre-formated as exFat, it seems for them that Jolla is not able to read it... so that would solve the problem for them (but not for us :D).

Actually you can even yourself put the exFat ability in the Jolla phone with the right package... but again not pre-installed.

Actually a tiling window manager might not be a bad choice for a tablet - with a few tile manipulation gestures thrown in of course. :)

Has any information been revealed about the bootloader yet? If it is confirmed to be open and Jolla can provide instructions on how to use it demonstrating that it truly is an open tablet, they can have my money. Oh, and also confirmation that they won't change the spec to use something other than an Intel GPU would be nice too.

The Jolla phone handles 128GB card just fine (using one).
